I've been going through this forum trying to find relatable people. Camaraderie has been important to me since being a little kid.

This is just outreach to anyone who might relate to anything I've been going through.

If you are a small business owner, you may have a difficult time. Most "mom and pop" businesses have been put out of business by the Walmarts of the world. Even in agriculture the 100 cow family dairies were put out of business by the 1,000 cow dairies 20 years ago. Today the 10,000 cow dairies are putting the 1,000 cow dairies out of business.

You may not find others with all your various experiences, but you may encounter someone once said, "If you want a friend, you should be a friend." I took this to mean that if we try to help others, we may cultivate in ourselves that which less off-putting than a self focus.

There was a song once that used the phrase "Veteran of a thousand psychic wars". In my mind I could visualize someone with a jaded world weary view sitting in a bar sharing :combat" stories with other veterans like in a VFW. Having survives various "battles" should leave us equipped to help others more than just having stories to tell while we deaden ourselves with alcohol.

I have seen too many veterans deaden themselves by self-medicating with alcohol that I want to warn anyone who might be considering going down that road. In the Army combat veterans find it better to help train others who can learn from their experiences.

It seems like you have more than your fair share on your plate.

I'm also in my 30s, parents divorced when I was young, and while I drink sometimes, no one around me would call it an addiction.
