Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

Hi, everyone. Can you tell me what to do if something goes wrong while I'm trying to CTB with sodium nitrite? Obviously, if I'm found during the process, I'll receive medical attention and be taken to a hospital, where, in theory, I'll be treated without any harm to my body.
So what should I do if I get really sick during the attempt, or if for some reason I don't die and wake up after a while? In that case, should I call for medical help, or if I survive, will my body handle the intoxication on its own? Obviously, I don't want to call an ambulance, since they'll send me to a psychiatric hospital after treatment.

So, if the method fails and I remain conscious after the attempt, is it necessary to seek medical help, or will my body recover on its own? Thank you

It would be wonderful if there was a doctor on the forum who could answer this.

I guess what I would do would depend on how I'm feeling. If I woke up and felt like I'm almost dead with my condition not improving, I guess I would have to call an ambulance anyway. If it improved, I'd do everything to get home, possibly get some bloodwork done the next day. Although I'm not sure that a standard test available comercially to all would show anything useful.

If you had an oximeter and measured your oxygen levels going up I reckon that would be an indicator of the methemoglobin levels going down. If you felt better, then maybe you could brush it off. My biggest fear would be some permanent organ damage. We're assuming you've just survived a >= 25 g attempt. You poisoned yourself.

I wonder if in the case of waking up and still feeling like shit it would be possible to ingest methylene blue. I've only come across it being mentioned as provided through an IV on the forum.

This is not for the internet to decide. You should not be asking for life or death medical advice on a forum

While there have been very few reports of people having long-term effects from SN, you are trying to kill yourself by doing damage to your body which should absolutely warrant a trip to the hospital.
