Is wrist sliting really useless ?

I saw wrist slitting in walking dead and legit thought that shit can work
Maybe if i target a bigger femoral veins

Wrist slitting is really unrealiable. But you should take a closer look at full suspension hanging. I was also put off at first by the fear of slow suffocation, but apparently you lose conciousness within seconds (about 15 seconds approx.), because the noose also restricts the blood flow to the brain. So basically you will be unconsious before suffocation can really bother you. Take a look at the megathread for full suspension hanging and maybe take a look at the videos from people who filmed their suicide with FSH. It is really reassuring how fast almost all of them become unconsious.

Sliting seems more controllable

It's almost impossible to pull off. And it would definitely be a slow and excruciating way to go out.

in theory it sounds so nice right? some people have pulled it off..

in reality though, if you aren't high off your ass and completely out of it, SI is going to stop you. i mean look at it this way. if you've never cut before, you're gonna have to jab that razor into your skin/nerves and PHYSICALLY hear your skin ripping itself apart. you're gonna have a horrible time if you do it. even if you sever a bunch of arteries and veins you will be in extreme bodily distress. nausea, hyperventilating, dizziness, before you die from blood loss.

also if you fail, you'll never be able to use your arms or wherever you cut properly anymore because of severe nerve damage. wouldn't try it, coming from someone who used to cut very deep.

The top half of the scar somehow flattened, while the bottom half remains raised and bumpy. The whole scar is from one large, open wound that I made deep enough to see muscle.

I made this attempt in 2022, so this is what it looks like after four years of healing.
