A lot of people can't jump, it's not an easy decision to take, and as leloyon mentioned, your survival instinct is kicking as well. Don't be too hard on yourself.
For all the people that jump and were recorded, there were many (if not more) who didn't.

I saw your other thread about a recent breakup and that you think you'll never experience love again. Maybe you think it's worth waiting and seeing, not acting on this impulse due to recent events. Not sure if it helps, but I've never had a sexual-romantic relationship and even in such circumstance there could be other goals to strive for/people to help/things to experience/etc.
