How to make sure the ligature will tighten the carotide and not the respiratory tract and provoke asphyxia?

What if I can't make myself pass out by pressing the carotid artery, I can find the pulse on each side but not sure I'm pressing it right.

Also, for a hotel room, is there anything in typical hotel rooms that would hold a heavier person?
Dont worry about that people make it sound too easy when you need to apply something like 3kg of pressure

Would tourniquet be better for this, or would it still show? Would 3 days be enough to recover?
I was recently running partial hanging tests around 2 weeks ago & the rope mark is still on my neck. It was red at first but then turned black & it's been that way for the longest. Thinner now but still very noticeable. Looks like it will fade for good in a couple to a few weeks. I can make the mark look less noticeable when I put white powder on my neck & blending it in. I'd use makeup but I've got no idea how to use that stuff lol.

How does the knot thing work?
The slip knot goes around the anchor?
Or the noose is a slip knot?
How do you tie the noose?

Holy shit I think I figured it out. I know that sounds stupid but I've been trying it with a ratchet strap for years and it kept failing. Just got a rope and tried holding it with my hand and I nearly passed out super quick.

The adrenaline is pumping and I'm so happy. I absolutely need this to work. Just have to find an anchor point that can support me now and I'll be set. Anyone know of any good traditional household stuff can use that won't draw attention having that would support around 200kg?

Corpses of people who died by carbon monoxide poisoning are probably not as horrific.

You will never know if you succeeded regardless of method. Assuming death is the end, of course, in which case you simply can't know anything if you succeed, because you will be no more.
I thought co2 poisoning would be the easiest and most ideal because I had heard about people dying that way accidentally during like, a snowstorm while hearing up their car. Its actually not that easy. The tailpipe is pressurized so you cant stuff it, your car will just turn off. And the catalytic converter is a nifty invention that filters the co2 so theres barely any there to even get poisoned off of. I thought, thats so nice you could just fall asleep, its too easy. Wrong. Its actually easier to plan out a hanging, sorry for whoever finds you but Ive gotta ctb. I have an illness that is debilitating and think that, although it could be considered the easy way out by people that pass judgement, its not so easy to ctb or make that decision. Ah, sleeping beauty.

Is there any chance that I won't lose my consciousness if I get completely suspended? If that happens, what should I do, or will I die anyway?

If I get suspended, what will happen, and what should I do?

In priciple it is impossible not to pass out within seconds and to die, provided that you follow the instructions you will find here. If you feel better you can have a sharp knife at hand and cut the rope, in case you dont pass our.

Thanks.
I hope that's how it goes. Taking a step and passing out a few seconds later sounds great.

But there's still this fear that I'll mess something up, and it's holding me back.

Ask questions when needed.
Double check your setup.
A little practice will help. You get used to the sensations and can feel how the pressure works.

No not yet. But I want to buy that belt on her neck. I don't what's it called or used for. If anyone can tell me. I would try.
I can't figure out the belt either, was thinking of trying rope or a thicker bathrobe string to see if leaning forward would cause the same pressure and passing out

Has anyone had success trying the choking game to pass out? I tried with the rope below the Adam's apple and above, relaxing into it and nothing happened. No passing out or success, I'm wondering if it's because of the rope when the video has a thick strap that seems to go over the whole neck but apparently a lot of people died trying this game

For the past hour and a half plus, I have been trying to use a laptop charger cable to hang myself. I've made a rudimentary but functioning (?) slipknot and tied it to a hook on my door (also rudimentary but gets the job done). On only one occasion have I been able to do something with promise: get my entire body all tingly, which I think is the precursor to passing out and then choking. Since then, I have been frustratingly unable to replicate that result, with only a red mark across my neck from repeated, aborted, failed attempts to go beyond that. The cable is getting slightly slippery and thus complicating things. On top of that, I may have run out of time with regards to attempts for today, but there's always tomorrow I guess. I'm leaving today's attempt profoundly frustrated, disappointed, and discouraged.

If you cannot pass out, the pressure is likely insufficient.
A charger cable might not be the best for playing this game.

Guide to partially suspended hanging:

Warning: Don't try this method unless you're totally sure that:
a) you want to kill yourself
b) that you won't be found for at least 30 minutes after you attempt.

This method is very lethal and quick (quick from your perspective
anyway, as you black out within seconds), but if you're found in time
and 'saved' you can end up with serious brain damage and/or be left a
vegetable.

Why partial suspension?
Because full suspension seems to me to be unnecessary and creates
difficulties. First of all you need to find a place which would hold
your entire weight, which isn't easy, and also you need a stronger
ligature, which isn't always easy to find either. There's nothing
wrong with full suspension, but it may not be a viable method for
everyone, especially if you're looking to use everyday materials from
around the home.

By partial suspension I mean that you hang yourself around the neck
(specifically the carotid artery), and push downwards while kneeling.
This should create enough downward pressure on the ligature to tighten
it and close the carotid artery and stop the blood flow to your brain.
All you need is 3 kilograms of pressure to do this, which isn't much
at all.

Also, with full suspension your entire body weight is pressurizing
your neck, and this would probably be more than enough to not only cut
off the blood supply to your brain, but break your neck as well. I'm
not too sure if that's a good or a bad thing. I do know though, that
statistically people who've attempted via hanging have more often been
found kneeling and partially suspended than being fully suspended.

Where is the carotid artery?
Before you start you have to know this. If you place your hand around
the middle of your neck, around your Adam's apple, with one thumb on
one side and all fingers on the other, you should feel a strong pulse
and heartbeat. If you close your hand now fairly firmly, you'll
probably make yourself pass out. It might be a good idea to try this
to make sure you've got the right spot.

What type of ligature?
You need a ligature that's strong, but not too elastic. It doesn't
have to be very long, 1 meter or more would be plenty. I'd advise
against nylon rope, string, fishing wire, etc.
Neckties on the other hand, are perfect Smile .

It may also be a good idea to lubricate the ligature with soap. This
would help the noose tighten even quicker, especially if you're using
a rough ligature such as a rope. Lubricating it in this way will
increase the friction once you push your head down and tighten the
noose, and could make it a little more effective and faster.

What type of knot?
A slipknot. It's one of the most basic knots around, and you make it
with one end of your ligature. The other end should go around your
hanging place.

Many people have the misguided idea that a hangman's knot should be
used, but they're wrong. A hangman's knot is for a completely
different purpose, and won't work for this method.

Where should I hang?
You should hang from a support which will hold part of your weight.

You should test this by tying the loose end of your ligature around
the support several times, sticking your hand (NOT your head) in the
noose and pushing down with it. If the noose holds, you're fine. If
not, then you'll have to find another spot.

A great and easy place to hang is from the thick horizontal metal bar
which you find in wardrobes in most homes.

When should I do it?
When no one else will be in the same area, for at least 30 minutes.
You lose consciousness within seconds but your body doesn't completely
die for around 15-20 minutes. The extra 10-15 minutes is for
preparation time and just in case.

How?

When you're completely ready, kneel down, stick your head in the
noose, position it around the carotid artery and push downwards with
your head.

Good luck...
No natter how long I wait, I won't pass out, why?

If you hang yourself with your upper body in a vertical position, there is no pressure on your Adam's apple, because the rope slips above your hyoid bone.

I hear ya. Tried for 30 days straight with an extension cord, didn't come close to passing out, despite extensive reading about technique.
