This is a post sent from the past to the future; it's meant for 11th of December, 2025. The time gap is for my convenience. This post becoming public means I am likely dead.
The purpose is to empower and educate. Suicide is terrifying and lonesome; I want to have some use out of my life by helping.
I am posting this in the hanging megathread, because most people are accountless lurkers and an independent thread will be quickly lost to time. I want to maximize my practical worth.
Special thanks to AreWeWinning. This user helped me skip hurdles that I would've to endure if it weren't for them. They were always there to help, therefore they were kind. I wish them success in their own venture.
I have succeeded with my plan. I am now burning in hell, skipping in heaven, haunting others as a ghost, experiencing reincarnation, living in anime, and/or becoming one with nonexistence.
My method:
Arbor knot with a buntline hitch anchor, plus overhand knots as stoppers.
I am 178cm (136cm when kneeling) tall and weigh 80kg. The pullup bar is 183cm tall. The table is 61cm tall.
The noose will be at around 125cm high. The table is 60cm away from the rope.
Pretty much full suspension hanging, even if my knees scuff the ground. This setup doesn't require much height. I've given all I could imagine to help anyone wanting to die by hanging. I tried doing partial suspension, but it seemed to easy to back out from, and survival instincts are powerful. We are going against our programming. It will be difficult.
My anchor point is a freestanding pullup bar which has 25kg of weight placed on both sides for stability. Doorframe pullup bars will also work, but I trust telescopic ones more than those you just put on top of the doorframe, as they can fall off if you pull from the wrong direction. During hanging, your body might convulse in such a way that provokes the resting pullup bar to fall and cause you to survive. Telescopic pullup bars are the ones you extend into the doorframe by rotating the handles with your hands. I don't see a need for drilling, as I could swing my whole body back and forth when I extended the bar well. With the resting on top pullup bar, I couldn't do that.
My ropes are cargo straps which can handle 400kg. They were cheap. I trust these, as I used them for calisthenic exercises with gymnastic rings and experienced no issues.
I put the cargo strap with the buckle side over the center of the pullup bar once and straighten the rope. I lower it and let the buckle rest on the ground.
On the other end, I tie an arbor knot. I tie the overhand stopper close to the knot.
From the buckle end, I tie a buntline hitch. The hitch creates a loop and in its lower part I make an overhand stopper close to the center of the rope.
I set it up in a way to make the knot of the noose hang below my Adam's apple. The noose will self-tighten with use.
Test your knots by using your hands with your body weight. You do not want them to fail.
1) I position the table far enough for my legs to not reach it well, but close enough for my arms to grab the bar. I set 25kg of plates in the back of the table as counterweight. I stick a piece of wood under one table leg to decrease wobbling. I block the door to increase probability of dying.
2) I take off my shoes to decrease leg range.
3) I squat down on the table and slide my head through the loose noose. Then place it above my Adam's apple and tighten it.
4) I restrain my legs with the other cargo strap. I insert the strap through the buckle. The item holds above my ankles and below my hips. I make sure it's as tight and low as possible.
5) I lift myself up with my feet, grab the pullup bar, and use both legs and arms to drop myself forward.
6) This is the point of no return. I must facilitate my demise by not pointlessly struggling and trying to escape.
7) I let go of the bar and relax my neck. I avoid swallowing.
8) I must endure less than twenty seconds to pass out. After 30 minutes of unconsciousness I am dead.
Additional information:
- I drink lemon balm tea (two teabags per cup) and water. Coffee increases the fear response in my experience. I want to strengthen my chances by being more or less calm. I do not have access to alcohol or hard drugs. I merely have some ashwagandha (3 pills).
- On my last day I do not eat. Fasting ought to provide beneficial fatigue, as well as lessen digestive tract complications.
- Meditation and visualization can help with accepting death. Imagine success, fake confidence, reject fear and doubt, avoid thoughts of failure or surrender.
- I have type 1 diabetes, however I'm not going to overdose on insulin as one individual tried on this megathread. A low blood sugar will be unpredictable. I do not have a guarantee the operation will be better by messing with my blood glucose.
- Music should help with motivation, courage, and comfort. I'm gonna use wireless earphones.
- Emotion can aid with commitment. Insult yourself, tell bitter truths, picture going to heaven, etc.
- Cold showers might assist with tolerating discomfort.
- Before my death, I clear all of my cookies and history everywhere on all devices. The police will likely investigate, but this account's information should be fine, provided the mods themselves don't delete, move, or modify it.
I wish you all success and grit.
