Do you believe that its possible for a new revolutionary method to appear. One that has the effectiveness of SN, but easier to get? Nowadays it seems solely SN has the spotlight, didn't know if it was possible for another chemical to appear that would share the same properties as SN. Or even another website such as SD?

Crossing my fingers that the Trump dictatorship will take us back to the good ol' days of having heavy barbiturates on the shelves.

Idk, hopefully Philip Nitschke's suicide collar will become available to buy or 3D print in the near future.

There will eventually be a new method. The question is how fast will governments crack down on it.
The UK is a good example of how much they have pushed the laws that you are monitored for every small thing that a new method will most likely be stopped before you find out about it.
Really sucks that this is what is happening though because any chance of a peaceful death is now just going to be luck of the draw if your country will get assisted dying for the mentally ill.

I saw this and is to hopeful for it. I did some research and it seems plausible atleast.

Yeah, I am tired of seeing the same methods of suicide, and I am just hoping for a new, reliable, and of course, painless and peaceful death with no struggle that is easily accessible.

Personally too risky for me and just probably guarantees a trip to the ICU and then the good ole psych ward and a lifetime of trauma. If I go, I'm sticking to tried and true, gun.

Yeah, I choose the gun too, especially the "12 gauge shotgun slug" that explodes the entire brain out of the skull, and not a gun that just shoots a hole through the skull without exploding it, like from a hand gun.

Eh pretty overkill and super traumatizing for whoever finds you. I'm just doing 38 special. It works. Less traumatizing. Practically any shot to the brain besides a 22 full metal jacket is going to kill you.

If the "12 gauge shotgun slug" was my only option, I would do it somewhere extremely isolated, and by the time at least a single person finds my body, it was already decomposed significantly so it looks a lot less traumatizing, but I guess a hand gun when aimed at the brain stem would be enough? I might choose the same gun your going to use, the 38 special, just because you probably know somewhere that it's reliable, I will have to buy it soon.

Someone posted a thread about using a manual blood pressure cuff around the neck, to put pressure on the jugular veins. IN principle it will cause loss of consciousness in 10 seconds. This is similar to the Kairos Kollar that Philip Nitschke is developing. But I think for this to work, you might have to remove the inflatable rubber bags from the cuff, and attach them to some sort of wide leather belt, which you place around the neck.

Is this the one that was similar to the night night method I believe? I tried to find the veins needed for the night-night, but i was struggling to find the correct area. I might look back into it.

Yes, the principle is the same, you are putting pressure on the jugular vein and carotid artery to cut off blood supply to the brain. These blood vessels are located on either side of the wind pipe in your neck.

Jugular and Carotid 2
Blue = jugular vein. Red = carotid artery.

Realistically, it would have to be something that's impossible to ban, like rope (hanging) or cliffs (jumping). Anything chemical-based is likely to get regulated very quickly, and anything that remains commonly available won't be strong enough to be reliable or peaceful.

I'm astonished that more people don't look in to nitrous oxide.

I guess it's because people assume its like the exit bag and inert gasses. It's not.

There's a reason that N2O asphyxiation has gone up by 500% in the last few years and most of them are accidental - it's because there is no sense of panic or shortness of breath. People don't even realize they are getting next to no oxygen, they lose consciousness, and are gone. It's also an anxiolytic which helps with SI or anxiousness.

I have a tank of nitrous that is 640g and a pressure gauge kit with a hose. I'm thinking about a balloon method or using a heavy plastic bag and filling it up, have you done any tests with a tank like this?

Definitely, there'll probably be a new method, and it'll probably be a combination of previous methods that wasn't thought of, and it'll be very primitive at first. I just hope that if there is one, it won't end up getting regulated from existence.

I personally have not - but other members here have. Try doing a search for "N2O" and the user "Intoxicated".

During their tests, simply taking a hit or 2 from a balloon and holding it in for as long as possible caused loss of consciousness in 30-40sec, although I have seen others mention it could be anywhere from 30-90sec. That's just one hit though, and obviously breathing normal ambient air was resumed as soon as they lost consciousness.

Breathing the nitrous continuously, like what would happen in a closed system like a plastic bag, the stated loss of consciousness was in about 20sec.

I have a 3.3l cylinder and mini pressure regulator (you just push an exhaust valve to release the N2O), which I will be using silicone medical tubing to fill a 13 gallon kitchen trash bag. Once about 80% full, I will seal it using a big rubber band and a couple wraps of saran wrap.

There are links provided by Intoxicated, if you do a search, of people who've accidentally died using a closed plastic bag for recreational use.

There are probably plenty of methods already known to people with a background in chemistry. I guess the problem is there isn't really scope for trial and error for things to be optimised. Nor do the people with such knowledge want to be a part of this.

N sounds perfect to me. I can't imagine anything more perfect coming along. I hope someone helps work out a way to synthesise it. It's horrible being trapped here knowing how things could be 😞.
