This literally is "recovery" but as the least-popular section I feel like it's bound to be under-discovered by people who might need it most (i.e. living in "Suicide Discussion"). Please pass the info along if you see anyone could benefit! (no I don't work for big hypochlorous. Just poor and chemical-sensitive and so on lol)

A friend gets frequent skin and eye infections and sings praises about this stuff. Basically it's a compound that's way more effective than even bleach for disinfection, with the bonus of being totally skin-safe when used at a low enough concentration (and still is stronger). Trick is it doesn't last super long and degrades quick in air and light so I guess it isn't easy to market, and has just been getting popular lately in skincare spheres. But it's also used in heavy industry.

There are commercial forms of little spraybottles of around 0.2% or 200ppm (seems the max strength you want for body), as well as little generators you can get for home use (plus dodgy USB ones on Amazon but they seem complicated and like you need a degree of chemistry knowledge in order to not end up making chlorine gas and destroying your lungs).

So I decided to get one of the bottles before committing to a generator (which in the long run is cheaper but more upfront), and this stuff really works - I get styes and shit in one of my eyes and whenever one's coming I douse a cotton round in HOCl, kinda press it on the eye for a minute then gently wipe...and they're gone the next day. I've also been getting unpleasant genital things and I find this works much better than antifungal creams. Yesterday I started itching all damn day, even after the cream in the evening and still this morning. Today I washed again, sprayed the HOCl and for hours it was almost normal. Just coming back now (be careful in this use 'cause after 1-2 minutes, you have to dry the area as it converts to plain water when exposed to air! Also I have seen "intimate" versions sold at half strength; maybe important?).

I plan to buy the generator next and can't recommend this shit enough. I'm a research nerd and all the stuff out there is basically the same; if you get a small bottle to try, don't be fooled by any "premium" or specific-use indication marketing shit. It's all HOCl (unless they added things but you likely don't want that), which is literally just pH balanced water and salt after running an electric current through it. That's what the generators are - you put some salt and vinegar into the water and run the thing. Bam, super effective antimicrobial. AND it's great for cleaning around the house, eliminates smells, etc.; honestly idk how not everyone is using it. Seriously magic.

Yes! I edited the post a bit mostly for brevity, but also added some things. e.g. the "intimate" versions being 100ppm/0.01% ... that said, I have used the 200ppm stuff on and in literally all parts of my body and not had any bad reactions. So, I think it's pretty safe for at least occasional use on sensitive spots :]
