• Hey Guest,

We wanted to share a quick update with the community.

Our public expense ledger is now live, allowing anyone to see how donations are used to support the ongoing operation of the site.

Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

Anyone else have this feeling like they don't want to CTB because there is something fundemental to just experience? It's so hard to put to words. But as shit as my life is. As much as people have caused me so much pain and trauma I don't want to continue. At night, when I watch a documentary about the universe or something. I get this feeling that regardless of my human problems. Just being able to exist and experience sensory input. To watch life unfold from a outside perspective. There's something extremely valuable in that. If death truly is nothing. Maybe there's a space I can find within myself to just enjoy existing itself? It's the people that are the problem lol

There was a naval engagement once where a quote from the captain became rather famous, "We have met the enemy and he is ours". This was used once for a Pogo cartoon where one character is looking at an environmental disaster and says, "We have met the enemy and he is us".

If you consider that we are all born helpless, ignorant, and selfish it is a wonder that any of us can show kindness or understanding. There is wonder to be had from the stars to microbiology. There seems to be a contrast between the order of the universe and the destructive selfishness of people.

However, even with people there are glimpses of kindness and selflessness that speak to the possibility of a better life. Perhaps this is a source of hope that one can navigate around the toxic bits and find that which is in harmony with the orderly universe.
