Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

The only thing keeping me here is my dog. I'm worried that he'll think I abandoned him if I were to leave permanently. We've spent about 99.9999% of every day together for the past 4 years.

My sister said she'd take him if anything ever happened to me. But I'm just worried he's going to think I left him. He's the only thing I love in this world unconditionally.

Does anyone else have a similar situation?

I'm the same. Promised myself almost 4 years ago that I wouldn't ctb until my dog died, as I have no-one to look after her and there's no way I would take her with me. She's now 13 and I think she'd be too miserable and confused if I gave her up for adoption. So I'm still here, feeling guilty every time I wonder how long she will live when I don't want to.
But I figure it will happen eventually and at least we get to love each other unconditionally in the meantime. Hugs to you and your dog xoxo

same, it's been my cat though. However, I think she knows. I've held on for 4 years now, mostly because of her and finding a sliver of hope at times. Now that I don't have the sliver of hope and she's a senior cat with her own issues, I know she understands. and I know she will be taken care of after I pass.
