today I discovered that it is relatively easy to obtain magic mushrooms in my country. The question I now have is whether anyone has experience with them. How much, how often, and which variety should one take? What else should one be aware of? Unfortunately, I haven't found much information on this topic, so I would appreciate any help. Thank you.

I can only confirm with certainty that the use of psilocybin, at least here in Italy, was approved this year by the FDA, on an experimental basis, on 68 patients suffering from "resistant depression." It will last 24 months. Like esketamine, it represents the new frontier for overcoming the disease of the century. Furthermore, they are effective immediately. Here on SS, it would be fantastic to receive input from experts; in the meantime, it would be helpful to research and share information once the sources have been verified. Exactly, precisely because of the immediate effect, I would want to try it right away. Maybe it will provide immediate relief. I live in Germany, but I have read that magic mushrooms are legal in the Netherlands and can also be purchased online, including shipping to my home country. The source also said that it is extremely unlikely that the package will be intercepted within the EU. It would be really great if experts could share their experiences on what exactly is needed now.

Well, I see you're determined to try self-rescue. Like me, you probably haven't found a solution with traditional medications. If I were you, as more information comes in, I'd consider going to the Netherlands in person, at least having a reliable contact there. This is also risky if the guy is already under observation. Once you've recovered the product, most of it is done. A second option, which you could try now, is to first search on Surface Web in EU countries that aren't "red alert" like NL. I'd say PL RO HU. Use a VPN, otherwise some results won't appear, and use browsers like DuckDuck, but never the big G. This is what I'd do. Maybe you're much further ahead than me on the method to use to get there. I have experience with them. I want to start using them again for depression because I found them helpful, but the only thing stopping me right now is they're pretty expensive.

Psilocybin is pretty similar to SSRIs. When I used psilocybin, I took a low-medium intensity trip every couple months. I didn't microdose. My experience is that it really helped with depression and anxiety, it made me feel at peace with the world in ways that were much more effective compared to SSRIs. However, there were nasty side effects that would pop up after a couple days including derealization and vision changes. Shrooms will give you visuals when you are using them at higher doses (think mandalas and other geometric patterns) but those effects can persist for a long time after use (look up Hallucinogen persisting perception disorder / HPPD). For me they lasted a couple months after completely stopping, but apparently they can be permanent.

SSRIs were not as effective for my mental health. They reduced my depression, but they did nothing for my anxiety and just made me feel numb. Shrooms made me feel happy and one with myself, and detached in a way that made me unbothered by the bad things in life. SSRIs just made me feel like I was sitting in the passenger's seat and didn't have agency if that makes sense, maybe since I was detached from feeling anything. The only "positive" I had from SSRIs is that I didn't experience nearly the amount of negatives compared to shrooms, for example SSRIs didn't affect my vision or made me feel derealized like shrooms did. Other people can still get really nasty side effects from SSRIs anyways, and honestly I'm not convinced that they're "safer", it's just a different risk.

Yes I'm very experienced with magic mushrooms in a mushroom goblin haha I eat so many got a Quarter kilo from the Netherlands and was like a chipmunk I had so many truffles in my mouth the girls were saying I had fish flops on too haha and enough for multiple people I eat wild mushrooms too amanita muscaria (ibotenic acid and muscimol) and liberty caps(psilocybin) id recommend with liberty caps to decarboxylate the ibotenic acid to convert it to muscimol through heat simple. But psilocybin i often find better but in some countries where psilocybin is illegal amanita muscaria are legal they are good too microdose with and yes mushrooms and psilocybin is the best antidepressant In the world. I think you shouldn't try them alone, in case you have a bad trip. I've also read they're better in a therapy context
