The hole where my tooth was is now infected and slowly all day I've been feeling it getting worse. First when I took out the gauze it stank really bad, then my mouth started to taste bad, and now it's hurting a bit. Idk what I did or if it was the stress of the election and who won. I can't use salt water to help it bc she said it might take the blood clot out and to not put anything on it for that reason. I'm stuck in pain with a disgusting taste in my mouth. At least the ibuprofen is helping.

Make sure to keep taking ibuprofen every few hours, if that's indicated for your pain. If it gets worse or if it doesn't get better soon, check out a doctor. I'm also struggling with a teeth issue atm, so I definitely feel that. Hugs!

Salt water might reduce a clot, but if bleeding restarts, you can pack in new gauze to staunch the flow. An infection can spread and become a bigger problem. You might try the emergency room of a public hospital. They might be able to prescribe an antibiotic.

Sorry for your pain. I don't know where you're located, but I'm in the US and I would definitely advise calling your dentist and tell them what is going on. They will probably want to give you an antibiotic. Some dentists here actually give an antibiotic as soon as the procedure is done to prevent any infections. I've never had one, but I imagine it must be horrible.
