I'm so sorry- this sounds terrifying.

I did see your posts yesterday and I think many of us thought you had succeeded. Please ignore me if you don't feel up to answering questions. I don't mean to sound insensitive- it's just that posts like this are very concerning to those of us considering this method...

I remember you posting you had sipped the 30mg SN in 60ml water at 9am- saying it hadn't burnt your throat. Then drank half the mix at 10am and started feeling the effects. Was it then 4am this morning that you drank the rest of it with all these horrendous symptoms or did it just not kick in till then? Sorry to question so hard. I guess all of us just try to work out why the substance failed when it does. I know nitrite turns into nitrate overtime when exposed to the air (and water I guess.) I've never really known how quickly this happens though. I wonder if that's what happened.

Anyway, I'm so sorry again that you have suffered like this. I hope you make a speedy recovery with no more repurcusions.

Hmm, am I understanding this correctly:

The oral intake of the SN began at 9 a.m. and lasted until 4 a.m. the next morning???

So the SN was taken orally over a period of 19 hours???

If I understood correctly:

Maybe that's the reason it didn't work? After all, the idea behind SN is that the body is briefly flooded with a massive amount of nitrite—more than it can handle at once.

As far as I know, this is also why only a small amount of water is taken: because the concentration of nitrite in the liquid is very high.

If I've misunderstood: What would be the case then???

Because if the blood test worked, the purity of the SN should actually have been high enough.

I really don't remember- this thread was posted 3 years ago. I'm not sure if the OP is even on the site anymore.

But- I would advise reading through the whole thread. I can't really remember whether it was established why the attempt likely failed.

She used the PC SN

Thanks, but that's not enough of an explanation.

She took the blood test. If the SN still fails, that needs to be clarified. The same thing could happen to others. Even if they don't take the SN from PC.

I think it would really be good to understand what happened there.

Are there any other users who did everything right and still failed with the SN from PC?
Quoting someone about PC brand from another thread:
"Also, just know and trust the brands that have had a reliable purity in the past(such as IC). Don't use the brand "Reagent Inc."! They sell nitrAte labeled as nitrite. So does the brand PC." I recall that you said you used Reagent Inc brand. Try searching posts for that brand name. A lot of people say it's bad. If it is sodium nitrAte relabeled as sodium nitrite that would explain the fail because nitrAte is 6-10X less toxic.

So she didn't do an aquarium test? Otherwise, wouldn't it have shown up if it were nitrate instead of nitrite?

But why would a company sell nitrate labeled as nitrite? Especially for a company that sells lab supplies, as was suggested here, doesn't that seem very unrealistic?

The problem is that you are bringing up an old topic to which, as far as I know, there is still no definitive answer

She took the blood test
I don't trust the blood tests. While with aquarium test strips people prepare a solution with a specific amount of nitrites (10 mg/L NO2), in all the blood tests I've seen, people just take an arbitrary amount of blood and add an arbitrary amount of their substance. This will show a reaction even if their substance is of fairly low quality, which makes it completely useless

However, I should note that aquarium test strips are certainly no perfect solution either, since you have to rely on colors + there is interference from NO3, which can confuse people + there was an error in Vizzy's calculations, and 1.5 ml of the solution should have been added instead of 1.0 ml - https://sanctioned-suicide.net/threads/a-possible-flaw-in-vizzys-calculations.232937/

But why would a company sell nitrate labeled as nitrite?
I also don't really understand the whole situation regarding whether the company was selling nitrate instead of nitrite, or if it was just low-quality nitrite, since I haven't seen any news or lawsuits about it. All I see is that, even back then, information started going around the site that PC SN is unreliable and that it's best not to use it

Btw, I saw your post about this in Dante's thread. In another thread, he linked to a thread where another user (@Message In A Bottle) was also trying to figure this out. You might not have seen it yet - https://sanctioned-suicide.net/threads/do-not-buy-or-use-pc-sn.116488/

Ultimately, due to all the ambiguity surrounding PC SN, it's easier to just ignore all the posts where it is mentioned. Especially since it seems like you can't even get it anywhere anymore, and right now everyone is focused on the SN from DSL

The blood test does tell you a few things:

1. You really do have nitrite and no nitrate. 2. The reaction speed gives (very rough) indications of the purity of the nitrite.

If you accidentally bought a nitrate test instead of a nitrite test, the blood test can definitely provide additional clues! :)

Thanks for the link; I hadn't seen it before, so I'll check it out.

I've heard from other sources that aquarium test kits have a measurement error of 20–30%, simply due to reading inaccuracies. If that's true, aquarium test kits would be almost useless.

I also don't really understand the whole situation regarding whether the company was selling nitrate instead of nitrite, or if it was just low-quality nitrite, since I haven't seen any news or lawsuits about it. Yeah. I doubt anyone will be using PC anymore. But I don't want to make it that easy on myself. Something similar could happen with another provider. Or if the issues stem from implementation errors rather than the provider itself, it would be interesting to figure that out. Or if it's simply a general unreliability of the SN method. Whatever the cause, it would be incredibly interesting to find out.

I still haven't figured out what kind of seller this PC was. A professional lab equipment supplier? Some obscure seller on Amazon or eBay?

A pro-lifer who wants to cure people of their suicidal tendencies?

PC SN, I remember reading about it long time ago. Why attempts with PC SN failed. Was the purity of it too low?
