something ive always thought about is lobotomies. ive always been interested in psychology and how the human brain works, and most studies describe people who were lobotomised or had that level of brain tauma, to have insane personality changes and decreased intelligence and almost like less of a consciousness?? idk

ive just always been curious what would happen if i got one. would the suffering stop? most of my problems now are my fucked up mind and how i think of everything. what if i could make myself stop being able to think about my problems at all. like im alive but not fully there. it sounds peaceful. has anyone else ever considered this? what are the realistic logistics of this?

obviously im not going to do it id rather just kill myself, but it wouldnt be very hard to perform. or maybe it would idk

what would it be like to be lobotomised? could things actually improve somehow?? would i just be too fucked in the head to care about how fucked in the head i am?

just something ive always wondered, was hoping someone could shed some light.. sorry if this is a stupid question

I watched videos about rosemary kennedy (john f kennedy sister) she was lobotomized and it wasn't fun she ended up with the intelligence of a toddler and she couldn't do anything for her self ,she was institutionalized for decades before she died .

Hello livefastdieyoung, it's not a stupid question. I do not know you. I am not a doctor or intelligent human being. for me personally lobotomy is not an option to treat myself or someone else for whatever reason, whilst knowing that criminality has no borders. of course it was considered by people and widely practiced for example with the so called lobotomobil and ice picks marketed by psychiatry branch entities. for more information there is website cchr.org where you find plenty publications about the truth of psychiatry. viewer and reader discretion is advised as everything of it is highly violent and gruesome cruel crimes against humanity! proceed with maximum caution if you take in information. I'd like to close my reply with a bitter statement, a quotation of a statement from Major General Albert N. Stubblebine III (US Army retired) : "Informed Consent is the defining Issue of the 21st Century. All Nations are Obligated by the Nuremberg Code, to Respect our right to say NO to any medical intervention. This include unavoidably unsafe and uninsurable Vaccination."

I've also thought about this. However lobotomy itself seems to be very dangerous and strip the person away from their essence and free will, which is scary. But I regularly daydream about some kind of TBI that would turn off the overactive parts of my brain which causes me emotional suffering all of the time. So I understand. It would be nice to experience the world differently.
By the way critics of the antidepressants say that some of them causes a similar effect to lobotomy, they even call it a "chemical lobotomy".

Mostly as a joke but yes. For a transorbital lobotomy you would have to get an ice pick or similarly sharp pointy object through your eye socket and separate several nerves within your frontal lobe. I don't remember which ones.

While not the same thing exactly, you could probably also drill/ pick your brain in other places. This is known as Trepanation and has been a religious practice through history, with some of the first ones being carried out by the ancient Egyptians.

I don't think it would improve a lot for you, unless you have a very specific type of Epilepsy where severing the connection between the brain hemisphere stops epileptic attacks

The frontal lobe is responsible for managing emotions, so life would just be dull.

I would like to give myself a lobotomy with a shotgun.

I would never want any kind of brain damage or traditional lobotomy that didn't instantly kill me though. Too scary, even if it helped my suffering. I would rather be dead or fully mentally capable so I can kill myself if I should desire.

ECTs are sort of like lobotomies: evil, barbaric, profitable, and manipulative (people are told "sometimes" there's memory loss but it "usually" goes away, both lies). if you want to stay alive and fry your brain and be a former shell of yourself, and have it approved by psychiatry and the establishment and government, well, there's your societally approved neo-lobotomy

I would also not get ECT unless you want to abuse your brain for multiple years.

ECT is a horrible evil procedure and if you want to fuck up your brain forever, make sure it's what you really want and not just a crisis reaction to depression.

Depression heals sometimes. ECT often does not, many people stay semi-broken (but easily managed by the parasitic class of psychiatrists). Being that way does not sound fun to me.

Also make sure you don't have schizophrenia before you get ECT. ECT is so damaging and crazy that you need to find out if your desire to damage yourself is based in psychotic thinking.
