I'm trying to resist the urge to self-harm, but I end up doing it every night. To avoid further infection, roughly how often should I change the blade?

Not sure blade quality and self harm is directly related.
An old blade will drag and snag more than cut. A fresh blade will cut easily.
It would appear an old blade would deter further self harm due to this.
But we are talking self harm...not sure comfort is a factor.
Your answer lies within, not in the blade.
