Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

especially when we can no longer afford even the simplest things, and war is looming over us, how are we meant to continue on like everything's normal? sometimes i wonder if the end of the world is really near, and that brings me comfort.

I deleted all social media a few years ago and don't watch or tune into the news, figure if something is urgent I'll hear about it anyway. I know some people feel a responsibility to be involved and updated, but if it's destroying you then might be time to reconsider for your own health.

No matter what is going on globally, life still operates around cause and effect and, life requires a great deal of unkeep. I know that I don't want to experience destitution or homelessness so- I need to maintain the basics to prevent that.
Put another way- it feels too risky/ foolish to me to assume that the world will end shortly so- why bother doing anything? attitude. Because- it may well not. In which case- I could absolutely end up making things far more difficult for myself.
That said, I'm far less proactive than I used to be. Now- it's more of a- do the minimum I can get away with.
