i met my older brother today like always while talking to people i tend to make odd body movements and facial expressions without my control out of my social anxiety, he ended up putting his hand on my forehead and reciting some verses/prayers on me, blegh, people here totally don't understand anything about mental health or disorders, I.D.K if it's autism or not but i came off as a very odd person to everyone I.R.L that it's easy for them to think am mentally ill or even demonically possessed.

It was nice of your brother to try to help. It shows a kindness and concern that not all brothers have. Some people have an expectation from prayer that exceeds reality, but it can be reassuring to know of heartfelt concern.

Cruel children in the 1950s and 1960s called those who had unusual or uncoordinated physical movements "spaz". This was short for spasmodic. It was a cruel way to disassociate oneself from the target of social derision.

It might be effective to declare that you have a skin condition or sensitivity that makes it difficult for you to get comfortable. This might be accepted as a way to explain what your family observes.
