does the reef knot go around your neck? or is it only used to secure another knot.

In trying to practice rn. i have two ropes and a spoon. Should be enough to kms. If I can get it right rn im not gonna let it slip. I just don't care anymore.
Five last acts doesn't tell shit about how to tie it around your neck. the thigh stuff makes less sense. help me kill myself please.
