people are largely told to believe in some god(s) as children without question. often instilling fear alongside this belief. few stop to think and question. if you were born in a christian family, you lucked out into the right religion. if you were born into a muslim family, you lucked out with the right religion. if you were born into a hindu or jewish family, you lucked out...
consider how superstitious humans have been through out history, right up to even your parents generation. then think a thousand or two years back. humans have been worshipping higher beings since forever, certainly one way to make sense of the fact that you must die (and of course kill). you can be special even in death but only if you believe in_______. now add copium, the suffering you feel and see all around you in the man made world will be made up for after you die. yes

galileo, considered the father of modern science was deemed a heretic for explaining the earth was not the center if the universe. some how none of these gods seemed to establish basic human rights, even slavery was accounted for in the abrahamic traditions amongst other things. like how did you not get rid of slavery at any point along the way? in other words, of their time and place. women still fighting for their rights, right down to control over their own bodies.
