I still live with my parents as well as with one of my sisters. I won't be able to handle a job so I most likely won't be able to move out anytime soon. I don't mind living with family but as they trap me in the home cus of my suicidalness I don't like them.

I live with my mom, dad, brother, and sister. Two of my other siblings have moved out. After a past failed attempt, my parents don't give me much privacy. They keep all medications locked up, even the ones I need. I have to wait for them to give them to me. I long for the freedom of living on my own, where I can have more control over things and feel more independent.

Everyone's situation is different, and it's okay to need help. You're not a loser. You're doing what you need to to get through this.

I live with my parents, used to live with my partner for 4 years and never really alone. I have a lot of freedom but I wish I could live on my own and do whatever I want at my place haha, like blasting music or inviting strangers 💀 But yeah with my mental health I'm afraid I'd trash the place real quick and have trouble doing chores. I barely keep my room clean and hate cooking :/ Also I'm not working and live on disability so would have to get a job first

I have lived on my own since March 1974. the day after my 18th birthday my "parents" drove me to town, I was raised on a working dairy farm and dropped me off on a street curb with a bag of my clothes with no money, no food, no shelter, no job, nothing and drove away.

I have lived in various types of structures and now I have a 1050 sg. ft flat, 2 bedrooms, 2 bath. I use one of the bedrooms as my home office.

I am also looking for a condo in Hawai'i, as I live in the Midwest of the U.S., and it is winter now and we have a polar vortex that is just starting with temps plunging down to -25F with a windchill of -60F. I want warmer weather.

I live with my boyfriend, we're renters. We're currently losing our home as the landlord is selling. We found a wonderful new place, as he said we could leave early, but now he's not letting us leave until the house is sold. I'm absolutely tired of renting and being treated as less than.

We both work full time but both our jobs are at risk. There's currently nothing in our lives that is stable. So much for recovery, so much for things getting better. One step forward, a million steps backwards.

I live alone and have stable income and housing. Yes.. that's kind of a privilege.. not that it should remotely be a privilege.

It's not that I want to live alone. I want so much to have people to invite over to cook food with and hang out together.. but I'm not given that chance.

I live with my parents because I knew if I ever lived alone I would kill myself. Now I'm planning my death anyways. I should have just moved out I guess.

I stay at a variety of places. My mom's, dad's, and occasionally two siblings that have already moved out. I'm essentially a human resource and am located wherever I provide the most benefit, whether that be taxi service, errands, pet sitting, manual labor (farm work), or worst of all a place to vent and dump their feelings. My pay is a roof over my head. I assume to them I am family and this is what families do. To me, I have no sense of home and family and everything feels strictly transactional. As bothersome as I find this situation to be, I don't intend to disrupt it because it's a lot less effort than getting a job and paying bills myself.

living individually, it's tough and full of lesson, but it's not worse than when I used to live communally with no privacy and a lot of obligation for anyone else, now I just have to worry about myself

I have lived alone for a year now after my last person moved out. It's the first time I have lived alone and on one hand I love the independence but on the other hand I'm pretty lonely and use the freedom to engage in harmful behaviors. No one notices if I don't eat or if I'm burning myself or if I drink myself into oblivion.
