It's childish but... it's funny, I guess. It's funny in a way that I feel like the poster is conscious that when a person is suicidal, the problem roots deeper than just not knowing that new songs are being released or not finding pictures on the internet that are funny.

It's like irony.

I hate this meme because it follows an illogical thought process. In death, none of these desires exist and so you cannot possibly be missing out on any of these experiences. Although I can understand the part about continuing to live out of social obligation I guess.

Some points are cute and funny like the "pasta" or "to feed pet" but others on there like "mom would be sad" and "out of spite" are insufferable to read.

Spoiler: Wall of text (that doesn't align with the theme of recovery)

I'd rather CTB out of spite than to continue to live out of spite. I would also prefer to never see my "enemies" again than subject myself to hearing "it will get better (trust)" years on for the sake of outliving them. I also don't need a meme to guilt trip me about leaving my parents behind when I've already felt enough guilt my whole life.

I wish I could have told the psychiatrist and social worker who almost got me 'voluntarily' committed again last year that if I were to CTB in the near future, that they would have been the catalyst to an out of spite death. Not a smart idea, but I still fantasize about it because I was at a new low when I tried to get help and all I received was their betrayal.

New music is certainly nice though.
