There is no doubt that pretty much all of us have anxiety and depression but what about ADHD? Once in a while I think about this because I was never diagnosed with it but that doesn't mean I don't have it. I match a lot of the symptoms.

Never been much for therapy or medication because it just always felt like a Band-Aid for what the actual problem is but if I could get something that could help me focus that would be great. I really have a lot of trouble doing that. Was wondering what all of your experiences were.

I have ADHD. I only took some meds to help with attention when I was younger but besides that not much else. I have problems with attention. I have horrendrous handwriting and can't improve no matter have hard I try.
And I am a maladpative daydreamer, so I drift off to my thoughts and daydreams a lot, and the daydreams got more and more complex as I got older, it is a coping mechanism for me and my life, since the scenarios mainly revole around better alternate versions of me, yeah, reality sucks. As weird as it might sound, I like daydreaming and the characters I created during it.

I do, undiagnosed. My doctor prescribed me methyl phenidate but it didn't work. Besides other medication. Vyvanse, Adderall are not available in my country.

i am diagnosed and i take medication for it, the medication really does/did make a difference, there's still definitely moments, but overall it slowed down the thoughts and makes it easier to focus on one thing at a time

Im trying to get diagnosed but it's taking much longer than I thought and it's difficult to talk to this particular doc so it looks bleak

Basically me. It's challenging to get a sympathetic psychiatrist when it comes to diagnosing adult ADHD. Their first thought is that this patient is making up a story to abuse stimulants. It's frustrating, because each day is painful, and plenty of people don't notice their ADHD or ADHD-like symptoms until later in life. I don't know what to do exactly, other than being more assertive or finding a new doctor. It shouldn't be this hard.

I have ADHD, I was diagnosed in grad school and it was a miracle drug for me. I remember the first time I took Adderall, it felt like all the random background thoughts in my brain stopped and it was so quiet I could actually focus properly for the first time in my life. I stopped taking it a few times over the years and I always regretted it, my life inevitably turns into chaos and I become moody without it.

Currently I'm taking Vyvanse, it lasts all day and the effects are stable. Other drugs either only last a few hours, or the effect is unstable so you'll get highs and lows throughout the day.
