Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

Same, 50 does feel old but my issues are I'm exhausted and cant step off the work treadmill and just enjoy whats left of life
We lose our jobs and we lose everything and can never get that back, especially in the US with health care being tied to work
I was leading a tiny team that made my employer millions a week in revenue, but a clueless greedy executive canceled it because they thought that a brand new project could make even more money , it didn't and I lost everything , the exec obviously didn't feel any pain from that decision, but I can't deal with being back to the general pool and competing with guys half my age and honestly I just want to check out. No kids so that makes this a lot easier
It's a senseless rat race we pay taxes to be part of, everything costs money, and the system uses us until we are useless. Bouncing back after life's strikes becomes harder, and years are unkind. Do you have friends, family or someone to spend time with outside of work?

I'm married but my wife doesnt work and 2 people cant survive on what we have saved and my 401k etc wont kick in for years
It's very selfish of me to leave her but I can't handle work, Im very senior and am expected to take on anything dumped on me and I'm just cracking up, I did nothing since being moved back onto the main project, I asked for a demotion so I wouldn't be as crushed and still keep Healthcare etc but they refused, and if I quit then we lose everything
the guy now running this division got his promotion based on the work I did last year (he headed up that tiny project that saved the companys finances and he got all the credit for it as the "ideas guy") and he basically told me to go fuck myself in a happy way when I begged him to put me on a smaller project and let me work out my retirement for 5 more years. The team was all asking for him to put me back, I was told for years that I get the best peer reviews of anyone and everyone loves working with me but they just refused to do the one thing that could have literally saved me (and made the company a massive profit for almost no investment like the last couple of projects I headed up here)
It's crazy as just a few months ago I had my whole career planned out, could have retired at 55 if the bonuses kept coming and I was allowed to keep shining, now I'm utterly crushed and feeling like a constant failure
Im going to max out FMLA while I wait for either an answer on Swiss euthanasia or just pull the trigger and take my SN with a nitrous oxide mask to dull the pain during it taking effect
