Just the title, really.

I'm terrified of jumping and frankly hate alcohol, but I could probably force chug it. I don't really have any access to SN or fire arms so this is really my least painful way of dying. I would just like to know so I don't end up vomiting for nothing.

Apologies if this was asked before.

Yes it would. Alcohol reduces inhibitions.

Alcohol makes ur body go limb which increases your chances of survival because of the muscles relaxation. There are documented cases of drunks who fall from several stories high and walk away just fine. Nonetheless It may help you overcome SI by inhibiting your brain but it depends on how ur body reacts to alcohol

I doubt it will make a difference if you jump from 50+ meters

There's ppl who fall from 33000 ft and survive, some fall from street poles and die, some trip and fall and break their neck. It's a gamble, a deadly one. Fall head first and it's almost guaranteed tho !!

If you not are a regular drinker I would advise you not to drink before. Because you probably won't know how you will react when being under influence. Am I right?

Spot on! I totally agree with you!

My own views of it all:
I'm not sure it will work for everyone. Alcohol will make the most people relaxed. But this can turn out in two different ways. It can either make you braver and more determined for a CTB attempt. But it can also work the totally opposite and make more you melancholic/emotional. Which can make you think different about your reasons to CTB and it can actually make you think CTB is a really stupid thing. For me it would definitely be the last option. Alcohol doesn't work for me at all.

Then will alcohol make your slower both physically and mentally and can therefore affect you skills and make the possible risks if failing bigger.

Some people go insane on alcohol. They are usually called cheap drunks, and they are like the worst psychiatric patients. You need to start slow with alcohol to determine how it will effect you.

I had no idea about that, thank you for telling me. I'll try and see how I react under the influence of alcohol as you said. Hopefully I just get more depressed and braver.

You're right, I have no idea. As another user suggested, I'll try and take it slow. If it doesn't work, I suppose all I could do is force myself to jump.

You should feel better on alcohol, but worse when you sober up, but yeah some people lose their minds. I was with a woman for 5 years who was a nut job on alcohol, but wouldn't quit. Lol I've seen many others that turnt into other people also.

As far as i know, people surviving from plain falls had tree branches obstructct their falling and they fell on bushes, lawn. The guy from new york falling from 40th floor surviving fell on scaffolding, none of the people who survived great hights fell on straight concrete. At least that's what research said, but i could be wrong.

I am not sure if this is the most suitable approach but if you truly think it is your time then…
