Method Would a crossbow do the trick?

If I held it and fired it towards the chest? The crossbow I was looking at has a draw weight of 336 lbs and is also 430 - 440 fps thanks

Idk. 430 - 440 fps is a LOT different (less) than a 1200 fps bullet. And if it hits bone, would it be deflected away from vital organs, assuming it was aimed at any to begin with. On the other hand, is 430 fps enough to take down a deer (I'm no hunter)? How do they go down? I highly doubt all crossbow shots hit the heart. Do they die mostly from blood loss? Sounds pretty painful, tbh. I have no idea how quickly death would come. I'd surmise that there would be a great deal of pain while waiting on death, though. Seems pretty brutal, tbh.

I imagine you are asking this because it's assuredly easier to get a crossbow than a firearm. But I would look into other methods.

I personally wouldn't recommend this method. Seems like there's too many ways this could go wrong and you will end up in even worse circumstances.

To bleed out like that, you're gonna need to puncture the arteries. Are you capable of aiming so precisely? What if you flinch and miss?
It'd be painful as well. Too risky of a method.

Itd still have to puncture the bottom of your skull, even gunshots fail in any position people have aimed. I can't picture a weapon with almost 900 less fps than a gun being a good idea

I'm not an expert, but I don't think it will work. At the very least, it is less reliable than other methods.
My reasoning is that crossbows are way weaker than guns, and you sometimes hear the occasional miracle of someone surviving a self-inflicted gunshot wound. So if even guns have a chance of failing, crossbows are probably much more likely to.

I hear you guys. The thing is though according to my searches people have commited suicide successfully with a bow probably less powerful than mine. The only problem is, I just do not know where to fire it. I want it to be as quick and as painless as possible, since I can't get a gun, I don't see any other way. Sn is pretty much impossible for me to get and I have no where high to jump from. Any advice? I'm from the UK.
My suffering has to end soon. Every day is complete misery for me and I feel uncomfortable in my own skin. It's AWFUL.

That's only if you hit a major artery. If not, it can take a while to bleed out. And all the while it will hurt because it's a giant gaping wound.

Seems like you'd want to shoot it at your carotid. Those big sharp deep killing arrowheads should shred it, right?
