I saw some people talking about making the exit bag on here, they all mentioned turkey roast oven bags. Why turkey roast oven bags as opposed to something else? If you could find a drawstring bag made out of the same material, would that work?

Its probably due to permiability of those bags............low permeability and temperature resistance, therefore more rigid and stronger. Turkey bags are the right size too, not too big it wastes the inert gas and not too small it becomes more of a suffocation method.
Good question, ive seen people suggest using a big black bin bag instead, failure rate could be increased using the incorrect equipment

My understanding is that turkey bags are particularly good because 1) lack of permeability, 2) durability (especially as pertains to building in a drawcord), and 3) they're a good size to estabish a reservoir of inert gas that can both dilute CO2 as it gets flushed and allow you good tidal volume of breathing, without being so big as to use up all your gas supply too quickly just in the creation of that reservoir.

Thanks a lot for all your comments here. I recently discovered this space and it is being very helpful. I am totally determined to do it and just need to purchase the last details.
I was trying to decide between the mask and the plastic bag... Regarding the bag, I cannot find the 35x50cmx5micron PVC oven bag. The oven bags I find are smaller... (I am writing from Spain). What do you think about these options?
