Why isn't heroin considered more often for suicide?

It seems like it'd be the perfect form of suicide. It's pain free and leaves the body in a good state. And it's much easier to obtain than N or SN. So why don't more people consider heroin for committing suicide?

I think it's because trying to get pure enough h is not as easy in some areas. Also some may not want to shoot up. I know there are other ways but I believe that's the best way (could be wrong).

I imagine myself coming to an addict asking where to buy H in such amount. Eventually he stabs me and takes all my money. Freaky week or two in emergency department and even more staggering bill from the hospital.
P.S. Most of the people are not permanent customers on DN and trying something new sounds too hard for them. And ofc many are afraid of issues with cops.

1) There is no guarantee of what you might actually be getting.
2) Some people don't like needles and not everyone knows how to shoot up properly. I would not trust google searching "how do i shot this shit up?"

Like others have said, it's hard to get. Also it actually (for me) made life bearable for a month until addiction set in. Even if you have a good dealer or access to the darknet and are familiar with it, it's still hard to find pure stuff.
I have read that rectal administration (gross I know) is better than snorting but less than IV. It's definitely possible but probable? Depends on circumstances

not really buddy. for e.g. in germany its not obtainable for a normal person. you need some sort of permission to buy it legally.

I would imagine...

1. The quality and purity is very unpredictable and so it is hard to guarantee that any given batch will be strong enough for a fatal overdose.
   
   
2. Non-drug users would find it unfamiliar and daunting to search for and buy heroin on the streets.
   
   
3. Non-drug users would also be concerned about being caught by police when trying to buy heroin.
   
   
4. Non-drug users would probably find the whole process of injecting themselves to be too complex.

I join OP's sentiments and question.

Granted it may be illegal and complicated to get. But if it's cheap and very peaceful these are hurdles one can overcome.

However I couldn't find proper instructions that are also reliable. I can't believe so many people died from Oxycontin pills overdose, etc, but we can't (I remember a member tried twice). Feels like the universe is mocking us.

To add to what has already been said, it is not easy to find in most areas. And even if you do live in an area where it is easy to find, most of it is stomped to shit and is about as pure as dirt in water. That said, you have to be around addicts or better yet dealers for a while to gain the trust necessary to obtain anything pure enough to really do the job.

I think it's reliability and un-familarity. If I may comment on some of these points with possible answers;
1- Darknet vendors with good feedback, they're findable but will take learning to get to. Lots of research, lots of money if you wanna be sure.
2- ^^ Get's posted through your door
3- Statistically personal use (which would cause most to ctb) is ignored on the darknet. I've never in 7 years had a problem w/ police.
4- Yes, correct. Lots of learning involved. Point taken.

edit: oh yeah to echo @avoid_slow_death , you have to be an addict or involved in some dark stuff to gain trust in the 'community' , no-one will just sell you h right off the bat, you gotta work the ladder. It's like an equation

Its alot easier to find then you think, especially if you are in a fairly populated city. The hard part is throwing on your boots and deciding to put yourself out in harm's way to find it. And if you have never done it, now you gotta learn how to use it and get the supplies. You might even mess it up your first few times.

In the homeless areas, or just sketchy areas, you can sniff out what you need. I dont like hanging around the areas, but that's where the free food and shelter is... Maybe you gotta be a bit street smart...but its these dealers job to get that money out your wallet. Dealers are pretty easy to spot, or you go to a head you and offer them $20 bucks to get a fix. That's if you haven't already had somebody come up to you and offer it after wandering around the area with your hood up and hands in your pocket. Dont do it though. You never know what you're getting.

If I took everything that has been offered to me out of the blue in the last month alone, i could open a pharmacy.

A lot of people saying it's hard to find. In reality, though it is a timely process, there's a common thing amongst drug dealers. You find a guy who knows where to get weed, who knows a guy where to get harder shit, and eventually you'll find someone who knows where to get pills or heroin. If you drink, take lots of benzos and take lots of opiates, you'll probably die and you'll feel amazing the whole time. Also lots of shit is cut with fentanyl nowadays, even coke so you could get lucky and just get some hot pills or hot h and you'll be dead after just touching that shit.
