Why is a Propranolol overdose so frowned upon?

I understand OD's in general are looked down on due to their high chance of failure and often extensive required dose for it to be fatal.

I do question however, why propranolol is not talked about besides its uses in other methods such as SN.

Propranolol is easy to obtain and a lethal dose is only around 3000mg. I would have thought that after taking a dose of around 6000mg, you would suffer swift cardiac arrest and go unconscious. If you were not found for a good few hours, the effects are irreversible and you will be dead,

Surely this is a viable method…. No?

well in reality you can actually die by OD if you take enough, but the issue with that is if you fail (which we both know is more likely to happen), you will be vegetarian or have a pemenant chronic pain, unlike SN, and this is a really huge risk because if that happens then you cant even reattempt no more

There is a growing concern in my country relating to overdoses by this method. There has been more and more cases every year. I understand the consequences of failure, but if you are as committed as you are with say SN, that shouldn't happen.

there are many factors that decide whether you die or not let alone how much you need to take like for example your overall health and how frail you are etc. also with a method like that you need METO because you'd have to take a huge amount and vomiting is almost guaranteed

also the uncertainty alone is a psychological pain that you may have to deal with during the attempt

not to mention no one really studied propranolol indepth and wrote guides about it and everything like we do for SN, so you need to accept the fact that you are more likely to survive WITH A DISABLITY
