Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

what i mean by that is when you tell people that youre dealing either suicidal or depressed they often thing that they can "save or "cure" you. like they will try to be your savior/hero to save you out from depression somehow, i understand theyre just trying to help but thats just not how it works. they thing that just them helping can fix anything and its annoying because they just dont understand why depressed people are like that. depression often isnt caused by one event that can be fixed overnight, and people treat it like it is. what they could do instead is just try to understand or listen instead of trying to fix everything.

Well those people you talk about clearly don't know shit about depression if they think they're the one who'll finally "cure" you. Although it is worth noting that major depressive disorder is, by definition, a disease (pertaining to serotonin activity in the brain iirc), but it's nothing they can even fathom fixing by themselves.

Sometimes it feels like some people only want to help for their own ego. They may see us as lesser, ignorant, and frankly, stupid for not "seeing the full half of the glass" or whatever, instead of realizing we are literally suffering from a disorder.

The people who've helped me the most have always been people who are going through depression, or have gone through it in the past. Although I can't say I've never been helped by someone who hadn't gone through depression, I will say they usually aren't the ones I turn to first for help.

Anyways, much luv~âśż
