Why do hateful people succeed?

My theory is : they are maybe helped by devilish energies. Or (more probably), they are psychopaths (as mental illness). I read that 4% of the population are psychopaths. It's only my personal hypothesis.

In this world, only evil people succeed in every field and lead great lives, while good people often end up badly. Besides my chronic pain and depression this is one more reason why I want to leave this world. Who would wanna live in such evil world like this one anyway.

I just assume it's up to numerous other factors that come with it, like being less reluctant on dabbling in more immoral but profitable practices and more willingness to work harder even if it means bringing others down.

But also, it's not as though most hateful people succeed or that many who succeed are bad people, I also realise that majority including myself simply don't do anywhere near the amount of things these people done when given the opportunity, and that opportunity in itself up to god knows what, luck? Fate?

An issue with existence in general is that nobody is given equal chances, some people are just able to get the opportunity that others don't and most of the time you need a more loose moral standing to fully utilise that opportunity anyways.

Finally someone that understands me. If you are an evil person you will succeed in this life because, you will have no problem to trample the good people to get to your goals, be it either a good job or a good business opportunity. If you are good person who doesn't want to trample upon anyone to achieve his goals, you will get nowhere. You wont achieve your goals and you will live a life in poverty and sadness, and probably a poor health too.

Going by pure logic, evil is just pragmatic, morals are literally limits, borders, obstacles. A person willing to do anything that it takes no matter what it's way more likely to find success.

I'm pretty sure there is some correlation beewten CEOS and some level of anti social personality disorders.

Like what other said pragmatism, but there is also biological factor to it. Bullying, etc is viewed as being strong which is sexually attractive to women, and seems admirable to men.

I remember reading paper about how bullies enjoyed higher self esteem, social group status and work place performance.

i think these are the people who don't have empathy or the depth to see it from the other side...ignorance is bliss as they say. whenever i'm able to turn off my empathy I lose these feelings of self-hatred and become more societally lauded but this is a high cost to pay

It is difficult for good people to challenge the bad behavior of others. You need ti step into the "bad zone" to do it.
They continue unchecked and everyone suffers.

So here's the thing... it makes sense to me that bad people have an easier time to some extent because they don't care if they hurt others and they are more able to deal with their own failures because it's easier to go hurt someone else and take. It's easier to take from others and use and abuse than it is to earn your way through life.

It just makes a sad kind of sense that bad people have less mental clutter or worry to prevent them from trying and doing things selfishly with only their own benefit in mind.

BUT...

The part that confounds me is... why do the good people support this? I am not so far gone that I don't still believe there are more good people in the world than bad people. The world would be fully shit long ago if the bad outnumbered the good... so, I am frustrated when good people look the other way or otherwise condone bad people. I'm not talking even about just wearing blinders, which is bad too... but I see routinely good people defending bad things done by others.

The old quote that I'm about to butcher... evil triumphs when good people do nothing... or something to that effect. The good people of the world have largely voluntarily given over society to the bad people. And those of us willing to fight for everyone, we seem to be too few to get anything meaningful done and we are often ridiculed as much or more by other good people than we are by bad people. The bad people know I'm no threat to them... but somehow other good people are more willing to go along with the bad and cozy up to the bad for a slice of the pie or crumbs than they are to support other good people who want to make positive change.
