Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

It seems so cruel to me that someone knows they have only months or years left and those months or years will be spent suffering and yet most states in the United States think those people deserve to suffer. A friend of mine's uncle shot himself because he had a terminal cancer diagnosis… imagine the trauma that my friend and their family could've been spared from if they only had assisted dying. It's a morality issue and people think they are being moral by not allowing others to die but if someone is going to take their life anyway would it not be better to go out with a peaceful sleep than to jump, hang themselves, or blast their face off. Society is so cruel.

United States mainly operates like a business. If people CTB, that means less labor, which means less money for them. Empathy is rare in the upper levels of the United States at the moment. I agree it is cruel, we need more options when it comes to the freedom of our life.

Most likely because the US isn't really secular and religious values - which often oppose assisted suicide - are widespread in the US. In Europe societies are way more secular and religion doesn't really hold that much power over people's values.

Something that really put it into perspective for me was that the United States is the only first-world country without any universal / free Healthcare. Additionally, they spend a lot of their funds in propaganda that tries to paint the idea of free health care in a bad light because it's "communist" / "socialist" 😒

There's plenty examples of a Healthcare system that doesn't constantly screw over the patients financially at every turn possible. Free Healthcare isn't exclusively Canadian :P
