Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

Many users on here have talked about ctb in a hotel. Would it be better to leave the suicide note in your bedroom or hotel room? If it's left in the hotel room, will the family get to read it?

This might vary by territory… But I hear that police take one copy and if there's another one present, they'll give that to the family. So if you're going to go with paper copies, maybe you can leave two. Or you can leave one paper copy in the room, and then do an electronic version.

I think it wouldn't matter where as long as there are at least two copies, (one electronic, one hand written) or both electronic/hand written. This way one is confiscated by the authorities and the other one is given to next of kin/family.

Would you want to tempt family to keep a potentially illegal copy by sending them one? I don't know if it would be legal or not for them to keep something like that that they had sent to their address?

@Smilla is correct. Everything my partner had on her at the hotel was kept untill after the investigation. She had her works door keys with her and safe keys, they were kept and they are important keys, my cards were kept so i had to cancel them as they were on her, money in her purse etc. Its will all form part of the investigation so will not be released straight away. She died in May and the inquest in August so all her belongings were returned after that. Maybe hide it in your room. If a copy isnt left at home they may tell the family bits of the letter, they may not. My partner was a straight forward suicide, cctv of her entering the hotel and room, noone else going into the room before she was found but they wouldnt want information to be leaked incase someone is 'involved' even in a minute way as it was still an investigation. Part of the letter will be read out at coroners court and if requested they can give it to the family then. I was given a copy or the hotel staffs statement, police statement, coronors report, GP statement but only on the day of the inquest

I would probably leave it on the bed as well. My goodbye notes are all digital ones. They're ready to be sent once I leave. I found a service that lets me send delayed emails and I'm gonna use it to let people know about my thoughts once I'm gone. I already did various tests with it and it works perfectly fine.

Just make sure to cancel the e-mails if your attempts fail! Perhaps set a long timer until the e-mails send, like a week? That way you'll have plenty of time to get out of the hospital and cancel the emails

I personally would not leave a note at all. I know others would want to and I understand that completely.
I just don't want people looking for reasons, maybe misinterpreting whatever I might write. I'm not sure I'd know what to say anyway. I think my dead body would say enough, no?
i don't know which service RainAndSadness uses, but i also found one. It is called Boomerang and it works with Gmail account. You can send 10 delayed messages each month for free
Hi, sorry not been on for a while. Yes i miss her so much. Its strange because i very much feel im still in a relationship, that i still have that love from someone but its like my brain hasnt fully awknowledged shes not around because shes at work she actually dead. I still get the urge to text her when im at work, for a few seconds when i wake up i forget shes not here. I dont know how to grieve properly, another 2 months it will be a year.
