ive been a pussy for way too long. i plan to continue my streak of self harm but my left hand is full of scars, and there's not that many places on my left hand that is clean off. is it ideal to continue up the arm (if so, the top or bottom part), or do i start completely new on a new body part? i want scars. not deep ones. Just enough to be considered a punishment for thinking about improvement despite my inexcusable naiveness.

All I can recommend is read up on some anatomy so you don't strike a nerve(s) and wound care to lower infection chance since it seems you will do this regardless

thighs are easiest to hide, but i think it's annoying when you want to look at scars. I think my upper arms are best at scaring, and that is where i would go, just be careful on the inside because the veins are close to the surface.

Otherwise I know people who love the lower leg.

Just remember to keep your materials and wounds clean, you do NOT want an infection!

i apologize for sounding dumb, but on the "upper" arm, you mean the top part of the arm (as in, laying my whole arm with hand palm down)?

They probably meant the part of the arm with the humerus bone.
