• Hey Guest,

We wanted to share a quick update with the community.

Our public expense ledger is now live, allowing anyone to see how donations are used to support the ongoing operation of the site.

Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

When is it just too late to stop having thoughts of CTB? Where your best hope as a doctor to stop someone's ideation is just nothing? Like some kind of terminal illness.

I can't really find much online on this. I'm curious if anyone knows something about this.

Edit: I should note I'm looking for pscyh papers on this particular topic.

I've suffered from chronic ideation and this topic has come up a lot. Honestly they don't know what to do with you at that point. They kinda just sent me on my way cause what the fuck else do you do? Just send me over to the next program

Is there anything in the literature about this?

Agrees with the second opinion.

And wtf it's not their choice to make anyways.

Acting like a sound mind is a mental illness, because it comes to a conclusion they don't agree with was their first mistake.

Suicidal ideation itself isn't an illness it's the reaction to unbearable circumstances. Unless the circumstances that make you suicidal change there's no cure. I further believe that if we are exposed to such unbearable circumstances for too long, suicidal thoughts and thought loops are "burned" into brain. Without changing or eliminating the triggers there's not much a doctor can actually to. That's when suicidal ideation becomes chronic. The brain cannot be reset or formatted. That's my opinion on this.

Sometimes they are caused by health or legal issues no Dr or mh professional can help you with. Trauma is rough but can be over come with help but it's the impossible issues that I'm stuck on

Was bored and couldn't sleep so I tried to find a paper about this too but yea same result, can't find much that explicitly talks about this

Though it's not what you're looking for, there's one I saw that could maybe be a bit related
So ig in this case, it'd be untreatable since it's part of one's personality, and if it helps while not causing any risk or harm then there'd prob be no need to treat it unless asked for
