Speaking as a guy it's certainly possible to do the deed with imagination alone even after being used to porn. Unfortunately you have to do at least like a week of abstaining for it to be possible.

Having thought about it, me too. The chances are slim to none -- OK, none -- that I'd either watch porn or "do myself" while in a psych ward. Too many prying eyes. Huge turnoff.

Ok, I admit, that was a straw man because a majority of porn is violent but to be fair not all of it is. Statistically, though, it does at least cause desensitization towards sexual violence (not for everyone obviously but enough for statistical significance).
