If there was ever outward evidence of God that all humans could refer to how would it manifest itself? Would there be some disembodied voice proclaiming to be God that all people could simultaneously hear like Eren speaking to all the Eldians in the paths? Or would he appear in human form and be perceivable to anyone who could see? Or maybe it would show itself through a bunch of miracles?

And how would this evidence even prove God for real, when anyone could just discount the voice or figure or message as being a trick (think Descartes' evil demon thought experiment), or they could interpret it differently.

Thinking of this what even is evidence or proof? Why do we think of evidence as being the pointer to this magical concept of The Truth when it's obvious that evidences are always open to infinite interpretations that all lead to different conclusions.

It depends on if you believe a God leaves evidence, or if all his actions are disguised as events in the natural world. If for example, you believe he does act, in mysterious ways, altering the universe as time goes on, then you could prove it with science and maths. Worst case you could look at probabilities and say there probably is, or probably isn't a God. If he alters atoms in real time, rather than having deterministic history dating back to the beginning of time, and you could record the states of all atoms, you could spot divine intervention.

But if your God does not alter things, and lies in a completely separate plane of reality, then chances are,(depending on if we can determine where our universe came from), you would not be able to ever prove or disprove God's existence.

If you think of our universe as a simulation, then like simulations we do on computers, information about the outside world cannot be gained within the simulation unless it is explicitly given by the programmer. So it depends on whether or not the God has given us access to his realm in some way, or made a mistake that allows us to see into his realm and detect him and understand HIS surroundings and origins.

Unfortunately, all we can be 100% certain of is that our consciousness exists. I think, therefore I am. So whatever our senses tell us cannot be trusted.

But existence of God through voices or burning bushes is more akin to the result of psychosis or schizophrenia than to proof of there being a God, according to what science and history has shown us

GOD to me is part of the cosmos, universe, make of it as one will.

We are ALL part of something so much larger than we, in this human state, could ever begin to imagine. Yes, there is a GOD and YEs, there is the counterpart, also Devil.

This is one of many experiences that we will have and GOD, is a part of that always. Be it as guidance, or help, this power (GOD) is always around.

It is like the question, "does the universe have an ending to it, like a confined space?" It would drive human's crazy trying to not only acknowledge it but to define it.

God would have to make that decision to reveal themself or, be discovered by us. I doubt we'll ever be able to 'find' or prove there is a God if they don't want that. That in itself I find perplexing though. Why do they want that ambiguity? Why even allow 10,000+ religions to exist on earth if only one is the right one?

And, people get into trouble for worshipping a 'false' God presumably? And, where we are born and raised tends to dictate which religion we follow. Seems to give some an unfair advantage and others, an unreasonable disadvantage. Why condemn someone for being born and raised in the 'wrong' place/ religion?

But yes, I suppose every single one of us would need to experience the same thing. We all perhaps see God. It would have to be something we could be sure was real. Maybe an enormously long question and answer session! Maybe God would have to reside here for some time.

It's an interesting idea though. Imagine God submitted themselves to tests. That scientists could determine that they were way beyond human. That they were old enough to be God. Would there still be doubters? Would some claim it was a conspiracy theory? What would prove it to them?

Maybe God could target the unbelievers over and over. Suddenly appear at the dinner table. Levitate them into the air. Turn them into a frog and back again. Maybe they would have to experience physical things themself to believe.

It wonder if God is too embarassed to show themselves though. They have a lot of angry citizens wanting an explanation for why they designed things certain ways. A lot of us won't accept the 'blame Eve' fallback. If God has what we understand as a conscience and even basic morals, I'm not even sure how they live with themself.

The only explanation is that there is some bigger plan. Some bigger reasoning that justifies all the suffering. But then, maybe it would change our destinies to know that. So, maybe that's why we're kept in the dark.

Personally though, I doubt all that. I actually hope there's no God. The thought of their being a conscious intention behind all this terrifies me. What kind of mind comes up with a system where sentient beings are forced to prey on one another in order to survive? Plus, expect to be worshipped and, curse people who don't participate? A sadistic narcissist- surely? Why would we even want such a being to exist?

I'd much prefer it if it were all unconscious chance. It's still bad for a lot of beings out there but, at least it happened by accident that way. At least there would be no religious chance of a God torturing them after death as well.

To me, based on the Christian god, I think the fuzzy poor description is an inherent part of god.
If evidence of God (a god) surfaced, it would cease being God. It would be very interesting entity, but a real natural one - no longer God, no longer divine or based on faith.
