Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

I am currently watching a German politicial theory lecture. In the next lectures the topic will be older critical theory scholars. And then newer critical theory scholars.

I sometimes read interviews of critical theory scholars and they are pretty good. I am not agreeing with them fully but they have an interesting perspective on the world. Very contrarian.

Karl Marx would probably buy merchandise of Che Guevara and Karl Marx himself.

There was no proletraian revolution because the working class is now united in hating foreingers and too busy doomscrollling social media. I know that's hyporbole. And simplified. I might update this thread when I watched the lectures.

Algorithm capitalism, the internet, capitalism based on the service industry. These things would be surprising.
Globalisation and accumulation of wealth wouldn't surprise him though.

I will keep watching. And then update the thread hopefully. What do you think?

The "father of communism" who lived during the latter half of the 1800's being suddenly introduced to reels, mega-corporations, and basically any other modern system that compromises QOL for mass production. Honestly? He'd probably die on the spot again. I have only a very elementary and cursory understanding of Marx's work, so as someone else mentioned, it also could come as little surprise to him.
