Dunno, but as always, laws would only be enforced to lower classes. Higher classes would just bribe or outright disregard it.

Well, like here in the U.S., we have had a "war on drugs" for as long as I have been on this planet, and one could debate till the cows came home if it has done any good or not.

BUT the main take away is always the same, humans who think that they can control human behavior are not only wasting their time and energy, but would the time and energy be better spent on a different approach?

The approach factor is something that I, as a dumb person, have no idea on, but I only want what is best for ALL of humanity.

Like in the U.S., at the age of 21 one becomes legal to buy and consume alcohol, and I have seen and heard a few who could not wait to "get hammered" on their 21st birthday. Now in other countries alcohol is NOT some magical beast to be unleashed at the age of 21.

Again, humanity and human nature.

Goes for everything including skimpy clothing.

You know, like, making life better for most of the world? Nah, let's ban bikinis so instead people go naked in protest. Wait...okay, maybe that could be a good idea. 🤔

Some governments/ cultures already do enforce this eg. the Burqa. Ok, it's probably not a legal requirement but, women from those cultures grow up believing it's a reasonable or honorable thing for them to do/ wear.

I think it depends on how much freedom a person is used to. The majority of people likely wouldn't walk into a place of worship with next to nothing on- unless their religion went in for that sort of thing.

Why would governments ban skimpy clothing anyway though? Presumably, you are refering to women mostly? I wonder what affect it would have on the amount of sexual assaults. Dfficult to know really. Would men who like to assault women be less aroused or, be more frustrated and, more inclined to?

Probably would go for verbal sexual assault. If someone wants to hate, they find ways to, always.

People are going to wear what they want anyway. People would protest nude if the government tried enforcing this. I don't think the government would be successful in doing this~

In the U.S., if Dems or Reps banned skimpy clothing, then the opposite party would just start walking around full naked lmao.

Where I live yes, because the people who wear skimpy clothing will freeze, and it is socially enforced because the other people will get mad at you if they see you wearing skimpy clothes 9 months of the year, even when it isnt that cold out. Sometimes I forget about this and go out in skimpy clothes, but then people stare at me disapprovingly, and I feel sad and put on my coat. Tshirts and shorts are only for indoors and summertime, sadly.

We can just review prohibition and assume that will happen anytime the government tries to prohibit most things. Makes it harder, makes a criminal culture and a side economy. Just to start. Special little hidden clubs for skimpy clothes, that kind of thing.

What is skimpy?
Skimpy clothes, more or less, are clothes that show lots of skin. It's called skimpy cause it's deemed to be too small for some people. Of course, in this instance, too small can be different in certain cultures and religions.

Dude, why are all your illustrations female?
One, those aren't illustrations. Two, skimpy clothing tends to be talked about in the context of women's fashion. Men's clothing typically isn't that revealing, especially in the case of cis-het men's clothing. Most of the images shown there are from a quick google search, with most of the results popping up being for women's clothing.
