I've elucidated on the reasons as to why I've chosen this song in other threads and it still remains the one I plan on dying to.

Wasteland from the Arcane soundtrack. It's a beautiful song.
It is a beautiful song. I think it explains the ambivalence of suicide quite well, not quite wanting to stay but not quite wanting to let go, the scene it plays in with all the hopelessness and despair that you see with little way out just emphasizes it all. But sometimes there is no way out, sometimes we just find ourselves at the ledge that David Foster Wallace talks about, as the flames keep getting closer and our decision is to either end it on our own terms or let the fire take us with all the pain that entails. Could we survive the fire? Maybe, but living just for the sake of it when your quality of life is to the point that you start considering suicide as an option isn't ideal.

I've got about an hour drive to the location where I will ctb and have put together a playlist of songs that I love and bring me joy to dance/sing to called 'The Final Drive'
Honestly it's a complete mix but includes things like 'Undercover Agents" (Enter Shikari), 'Everybody' (Don Broco), 'Shake your Groove Thing' (Peaches&Herb) and even a couple of musical numbers- 'Right Track" (Pippin) and 'Hard to be the Bard' (Something Rotten).
Unfortunately I won't be able to listen as I ctb as I'll be going out to sea, but I think I will put together another playlist to listen to to calm my nerves as I sit on the beach before I go☺️

I will be taking an OD beforehand and, in all honestly, hope I will seize/blackout from that and not be conscious when I pass (I do know it's not certain and I'm okay with that).
I have tried to jump but my fear of heights beat me and also tried to hang but my SI beat me each time.
I suppose it's not the method I 'want' but it's the method I need so I can succeed.

Probably idle YouTube chatter. I don't want a sense of closure, just to be comfortable. Maybe a story about a celebrity who hanged him/herself. I think about them all the time, obsessively rereading the Wikipedia list. If they can do it, I can do it. I hope that will give me courage.

Beautiful Boy. Its a tiny bit cliche, but its a beautiful song, and I only got to sing it to my son once before he slipped away. I hope the beyond is treating him better than this world treated me, and will treat me the same.

music means so much to me, that I find it odd I don't have an answer to it, it's sort of an in the moment thing. that tune you posted though, it's really mellow, and I like that.

I think I will listen to "We'll meet again" by Vera Lynn. The last time I was in the mental hospital, that was the tune I would hum to myself to keep myself busy. Always been a comfort for me.

But, in my dreams, where I have someone to love and commit a double suicide with, I would like to go to the tune of "In a Week" by Hozier. That's just a fantasy, though. ^^

This one. I've always found it calming in a dreary sort of way. It's how I think slipping away will feel.

I have a few I'm considering because music means a lot to me and I have a playlist for my CTB lol, but this song is where my username comes from and it's about a suicide, metalcore definitely isn't everyone's cup of tea but I really enjoy it

I'm going to have silence. I spend most of my time listening to something. I'd like my final moments to be peaceful silence if possible (I live in an apartment, so there will probably be children screaming and car doors slamming as I lay dying).

Also, idk if reincarnation or anything is real, but I wouldn't want a song to trigger any emotional responses or memories in me that could make me "go into the light" or be manipulated in coming back to this reality, if death of the physical body isn't the end of the Earth or human experience.

I'd like my exit to be as 'clean' as possible. Silence, contentment, and resolve, and completely separation from the human experience.

I have a playlist called "songs I want to die to" that I'd be pretty happy dying to any of the songs. Some highlights are: Berwyn-Fred Again
4 morant- Doja cat
Get out alive-3 days grace
Sextape- Deftones
Linger- The Cranberries

I still just can't get over how many other people obsess over this like I do. For years, I was led to believe I was just "being obnoxious".

Hey I love your photo. Is that your chosen method? Helium or Nitrogen? If it isn't too much to ask, what is your set up?
