I loved Dogtanian and the Three Muskahounds. I made myself a wooden sword from a garden pole and some yellow electrical wire and ran around the house pretending to fence.
I also loved Willo the Wisp and The Wind in the Willows. He Man. Thundercats. (I was a tom boy.)
Do you ever rewatch programmes now? Some do still stand up I think. I find it funny though, that we don't even pick up on things like animation loops so much when we are young. Or, I didn't anyway. Just the quality of the drawing used to vary so much in Dogtanian and I didn't even notice. I imagine there must have been a large team of animators. I guess that kind of inconsistency won't happen with computers doing more and more. Kind of a shame in one way. It was part of its charm. I find it fascinating what we'll miss too- if we're engrossed enough in the story.
