I took to playing really simple phone games like Solitaire or those ones where you pluck screws out of objects while watching/listening to YouTube videos.

I've been on here literally all day! 😬 When I really should be tidying... again.

I like video games too. Films. Music's better in the background. All lazy pursuits I'm afraid. I used to go for long walks and visit places.

Perhaps I'll be important when I'm long gone?

Read, housework, go for a walk, do my exercise routine (exercise bike and body weight exercises), decorate my place (now I've moved into temporary housing so I can't, but will when I get my new place), paint my nails, do a face pack, have a bath (when I had a bath available).

There's plenty you can do. I know there are times when you can't get out of bed, but you really do have to force yourself to do something every single day, a little something, even if it's for 10 mins and go back to bed, and increase the time each day. It really does help. Or you'll get stuck in a rut and you'll be kicking yourself for not doing it sooner.

Yes, depression can do this to you, but it so important not to get into that vicious cycle, because all it does it feed it - I am aware of how hard it is -but if you feed it before you know it, you will never get back out of bed, and you'll be laying in bed 24/7 just feeling sorry for yourself all the time. Which is NOT helpful for your mental health, despite what your mind may tell you.

It's important to have days where you rest and do absolutely nothing, I do this once a week on a Sunday, and sometimes extra if I'm feeling really rubbish, but no longer than two days. Even if I feel so shite, I force myself out.

Have a wash every day, it'll make you feel better by splashing your face with cold water.

Once again, I do understand how hard it is to not lay around all day, but it's so important to force yourself out of it. Bit by bit. It's about baby steps

All the best

i'm pretty much stay at home for most of the day. i used to be able to play video games for 12 hours straight lol, but i don't really do that anymore.

i recommend listening to music or going for walks. the latter is especially enjoyable if you in a scenic area.

alternatively you could try learning something new. could be anything really. you could be like me and learn about cooking, or even a new language if you really wanted to.

Video games, watching tv series or documentaries, maybe if you have pets sew a bed or a blanket for them from old stuff you don't wear anymore. Browse furniture or clothing stores and make wishlists, start a bullet journal. I don't know if they'd kick you out of a store but there's always libraries if you want to sit there for longer and read

I usually play videogames, check SaSu and watch YouTube. It can get pretty boring. Lately, I got a series of book second hand for less than a tenner and I've been reading.

It's a bit hard to start but then you feel a bit better for doing something different. Also got a tongue drum as I found out that it is pretty cheap, for a musical instrument, and the sounds are soothing and pretty. My boyfriend gets stressed and angry a lot and it has been helping him.

I've never been a fan of activities which involve going outside. All my hobbies have been stationary and solitary - painting, writing, programming, sewing, reading.

I understand the benefits of exercise but if one doesn't enjoy it then it just makes a person feel worse.

This one's a good one:

https://www.boredbutton.com/

Other than that if I'm bored at home what I do is watch YouTube, pet my cat, snack on some foods, draw, game, or in the past, I used to look at creepy, obscure websites like yyyyyyy.info. It was very fun and still is!

idk if you'd get kicked out or not, but I'd definitely be scared too~ >_< I'd get a library card at your local library and request good books you find at the book store from other libraries to be sent to yours~ :)

unfortunately, too true for me as well~ >_< except the phone part! I suck at using phones~ :(

I learned ASL at some point, pretty cool! Now I know how to help someone hard of hearing/deaf or do basic communication. Um, also know how to hand-sew and diy clothes. And just know how to do diy crafts instead of buying expensive stuff, or re-using things I already have. I've made two plushies now, both easy and difficult to do. I used to walk a lot and take a shower every other day. Costs money but concerts, so fun oh my god. Hm..I like to watch history documentaries about politics/revolutionary stuff. Helps me feel less hopeless about the world. Also TV Shows, have only seen some that I really loved, reading too. Writing and trying to make music. Personal concerts and blasting favorite music or headphones. Drawing, usually what I feel, good or bad, of just things I like. Haven't had motivation to do anything lately though.
