sorry for my ignorance, i myself too used many kinds of SSRIs before, but is it normal to take that many meds all together for depression?

It is for me. Multiple variations have been used, with certain meds removed and new ones added.
I've been on that particular mix for at least the last 10 years.
I assume the quantity and mix of meds varies from person to person, and the psychiatrist prescribing.
I have clinical depression if that makes any difference to what I have prescribed compared to psychological depression.

Apart from some carefully dosed Xanax, I'm just starting Lamictal which is my only medication right now. I don't place many hopes on it as I suspect adverse events will once again severely outweigh the (nonexistent) benefits. Tried so many iatrogenic drugs across the years that I don't know why I'm still experimenting new ones.

I'm on a decent amount of medication, only 3 of which I like being on.

Effexor (venlafaxine)
Wellbutrin (bupropion)
Abilify (apriprazole)
Lamictal (lamotrigine)
Progesterone
Estradiol
And this isn't a normal prescription of mine, but I tricked a doctor at a mental hospital to give me:
Reglan (metoclopramide)

So basically a lot of pysch meds, HRT, and a stolen medication that will be used for a very obvious purpose.

Is Resperidone the one where you have to have regular blood tests?

Just the name of that medication gives me the chills.

still on my medication journey though, I've been through all the SSRIs now and I haven't seen an improvement yet (I've been medicated 5 years) but I'm hopeful there's something out there that will make life a little more bearable.

I don't think regular tests are needed with that one, it's not like lithium where blood tests need to be done 3 months.

I take vyvanse for adhd, it helps me out a lot. Only downside is the high resting heart-rate I get, which is ironic because I'm much calmer when I am on it.

Three for my HRT regimen:
Estradiol
Spironolactone
Progesterone

The rest of my shit:
Fluoxetine [Prozac]
Tramadol [Injury related]
Cyclobenzaprine [Injury related, expired but holding onto it for reasons]

I used to take Quetiapine [Seroquel] but my job threatened to fire me for taking it.
My doctor wanted me to start Aripiprazole [Abilify], but I gave up taking care of myself anymore and haven't followed up with a psychiatrist for this last month because I know they'll just put me inpatient, lmfao.

What I've been on:

Escitalopram, Risperidone, Melperone, Bupropion and probably something else that I can't remember

Currently on:

Venlafaxine, Quetiapine, Lorazepam, Mirtazapine.

At least the Lorazepam calms me down, though I'm also taking Ketamine which sometimes causes unbearable panic attacks. I'm not really hopeful that anything will work with all the things I've tried

Buprenorphine, Ativan, and Lyrica, all for a severe case of restless legs syndrome. RLS is an umbrella term and most people think it's no big deal or a joke. Imagine anytime you relax it feels like ants and snakes are crawling out of your bones. It's worse than pain. It's fucking torture. The more tired you get the worse it becomes. My record is 5 days with no sleep. Insomnia is part of it. I also suffer from treatment resistant depression. Unfortunately most drugs for depression make RLS worse. I've tried TMS and ketamine infusions to no avail. I've lost my beloved career because of chronic insomnia exhaustion and brain fog. My job was the only thing that gave me any sense of purpose. I have nowhere to call home, no close family, most of my 'friends' have bailed. RLS only gets worse with age. Mine is called primary and idiopathic. My doctor is one of the best specialists in the world. Every day I'm in survival mode. I'm going to run out of money. I'm existing not living. I'm living in an abusive situation in someone else's house and take care of three dogs. They're very old and won't be around much longer. Once they go I go. Sorry for ranting. I'm in so much pain. So lonely. So beaten down. Daily bullying and humiliation by a demonic witch who owns this place and lords her power over me. She knows I'm sick and have nowhere to go and won't stop until she gets every last drop of blood out of me. Again sorry for digressing. I just want this nightmare to end.

meds:

1. Olanzapine 5mg (antipsychotic)
2. Desvenlafaxine 100mg (antidepressant)
3. Bupropion 150mg (antidepressant)

side effects that I experienced:

1. It doesn't work as it should, it just makes me feel high and in agony, because I can't do anything when i'm in this state.
(but after the effect go away, I can't remember exactly how it was)
2. It was the first med that I took, so the side effects were the common ones, such as loss of appetite, insomnia and headaches.

3. I just started taking bupropion and its really bad, the side effects include hallucination and extreme weight loss

A light daily dose of Xanax and Klonopin to take a little of the edge off my anxiety and for sleep. I've tried a ton of other stuff over the years that did nothing or even made me feel worse.

Bump

They are going to put me on Venlafaxine. I'm a bit concerned about some of the potential side effects. Have any of you nice people had any issues with taking it. I was taking Olanzapine but stopped as it wasn't doing anything for me except increase my appetite.
I'm concerned about the following in no particular order
insomnia (have this already and take either Zolpidem or Dormidina which have stopped being effective even after doubling the dose)
constipation
hair loss
drowsy feeling (I need to drive to work)
lack of concentration (I work in IT and I need the few brain cells I have left)

The shrink said take it at night, but other sources say take it in the morning so I don't know what or who to believe.

Thanks

Quetiapine
Abilify
Depakote

Maybe the doses were too low, but it made my depression a lot worse. Originally perscribed due to mania, though.

I'm only naming the psych meds, because nobody cares about my stomach issues or allergies 🤣

I'm on:
Lamictal
Zoloft
Klonopin
Addderall

I haven't been formally diagnosed, but it's pretty much known to my therapist and nurse practitioner that i have depression, anxiety, ADHD, BPD, and PMDD

The zoloft is the only one where i really question how much it helps. I was presccribed 50mg daily, but 100mg for the week before my period due to PMDD. PMDD fucking SUCKS and that week is when i really feel hopeless and depressed and fixate on suicide. The zoloft helped IMMENSELY for the first few months but now it seems to not help as much. I'm pissed - i should have gotten way more than a few months before it loses its effectiveness.

Anyone else struggle with PMDD?
why not raise zoloft dose all month? 50 mg is low..

Does anyone know how this affects SN ctb? I'm on Depakote, klonopin and trazadone, makes me feel like shit.

Bipolar meds suck, anyone also thinking about SN here?
