What do you do to soothe the lonliness?

Get lost in my daydreams and fantasies for hours at a time because just having to confront my bleak reality is enough to shatter me emotionally

I daydream a lot. And go about my day imagining that I'm interacting/talking to fictional characters.

Doom scroll on here, FB, Instagram etc. to escape. Sometimes drink but I can't really because of my meds. I used to smoke weed all the time but led to nervous breakdown. Been off the other stuff for a while.

In the past, I suffered greatly from loneliness, but now I want to be alone. I practice self-isolation, and when someone wants to approach me, I simply disappear. At this point, I no longer feel like interacting with people; I have nothing to share. All I need is to mentally focus on dealing with my departure.

Lol, just kidding. I'm a huge fan of chant, ambient music, spirituals, etc. Just a reminder that someone, somewhere, is looking up at the same sky as me and wondering about me...and they don't even know it.

Watch my favorite movies. Remember the beautiful moments I've had in life. Screaming into the howling fury of Mother Nature while in a blizzard on the Appalachian Trail, that I am still alive and a human.

Remind myself that tons of other people are lonely. I am not alone in that regard.

Daydreaming which seems to be a common one. About the person I was supposed to be born as. She's pretty. Has a wonderful personality. Tough and optimistic. Beautiful family. Makes the world a better place while she's there.

This is going to sound strange, but...I have talked a lot to the T-800/Arnold Schwarzenegger in Terminator 2: Judgement Day. It feels good to talk to him because I like to explain myself and he is always interested to learn more in the movie, don't you think?
