• Hey Guest,

We wanted to share a quick update with the community.

Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

I've asked about this a while back. but some people here confused isopropyl alcohol with methanol and assumed that it would make you go blind.

to clarify things, isopropyl is different from methanol. unlike methanol which attacks the optical nerves and almost certainly makes the person blind before causing death, isopropyl alcohol causes CNS depression and coma which is then followed by death.

the idea of going into coma after minutes or even one hour and then death seems tolerable.

I can buy 99% pure form of this alcohol easily as its widely available. However I'm not sure what would swallowing this isopropyl alcohol feel like. I asked the AI and it said that it causes chemical burns in the mouth and stomach and forceful vomiting with blood.

What are your ideas? have you ever thought about trying it or seen anyone who tried it?

I think the consequences are too costly if it goes wrong, and it also seems like a somewhat aggressive method, which increases the chance that you'll give up halfway through.

I don't think this would work. If it does, I would certainly do this myself. I think you'd probably just be drunk and sick though.

As far as I know, suicide by overdosing alcohol ALONE is not popular, perhaps because of its success rate or its symptoms (GI bleeding?, liver pain?, breathing difficulties?).

The following article talks about what happens following acute and chronic alcohol intoxication, but it doesn't mention how bad the person feels when there's hypo-this and hypo-that.

Acute intoxication may be an underrated method, but given its low popularity, I wouldn't say it's a proven and reliable method.

The amount you would have to drink at once you could not keep down. I responded numerous times to a lady who would drink nearly half a gallon of the stuff and pass out. She once drank one of those huge containers of hand sanitizer as well. Ended up with nothing more than multiple hospital bills and probable liver damage.
