Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

Went to a private institute when I was still a minor. It was just OKAY, from what I remember. It was just group "therapy." It didn't make things better, but it didn't make them worse. It was kinda like school, except you're with your classmates 24/7. I had a "friend group," I had people I disliked, etc.

My most recent hospitalization was in the adult ward at a state owned institution. It was worse. It was mostly people coming out of jail who were there for support before being released. It was mind-numbingly boring. We barely had anything to do most of the day and group sessions were a load of nothing. I got sexually harassed by a man 4 times my age. I never want to go back there ever again.

Overall, I'll always want to avoid them. They did harm than good for me. It's just glorified prison in my eyes.

leading up to actually getting into the psych ward is awful. being escorted by police as if you're a criminal is literally traumatizing and humiliating. being forced to stay in a hospital room without a door, phone, or literally anything for 24 hours was awful. actually being in the psych ward wasn't terrible but not having a phone and feeling like i was in prison was really hard. i just wanted to leave. it definitely didn't make me feel better, well actually i guess i felt better when i was discharged LOL
Lmao same here dude. Definitely gives off prisoner vibes. Wouldn't recommend at all lol.

Been in for the better part of a year and I think I kinda like it.. even though it doesn't help me and I still get CTB thoughts a lot. I'll miss the ward when I'm out, it's given me meals, therapy and a really competent psychiatrist who's diagnosed me with schizophrenia.

I hope every single member of the staff that "treated" me dies a horrible, tortureous death.
