If I had to pick an execution method, it would be beheading by guillotine.

Quick. It's pretty much instant death as long as it's a clean slice?

Thoughts?

If you have some workshop skills you could probably do it. Just remember that the blade must be quite heavy and must fall from a considerable height if it is to have enough momentum to do the job. It also needs to be sharp, of course. It would be a good idea to test it out on other things, to be sure that it works well, before you put your head in it.

Have you seen the show Ghost? The guy with the arrow through his neck?
Don't be the ghost with a cheap, lightweight blade sticking out of your neck.
You might die, but I see it going poorly.

Someone else asked this a couple of days ago. Tl;dr it's possible but it takes some work:

and testing it with a dummy or something? Would death occur fast and nearly painless?
Yes, it's possible but it's very rare and takes a lot of planning and preparation as well as practical skills, money, seclusion and time.

Boyd Taylor was a famous case in the UK:

Horror as man uses guillotine to commit suicide

A shocked father discovered his son had beheaded himself with a home-made guillotine he had secretly erected in his bedroom.
