I was wondering just how many ways there are that people have come up with to help with easing the consumption of SN. So far I've seen mouthwash and capsules mentioned, with the latter making the method unreliable.

Personally, I was thinking of using a small plastic bag to help bypass the taste buds. The idea is to make a hole at the bottom of the bag, then put it inside your mouth so it would cover the tongue and everything else, with the hole leading down the throat. While probably not a 100% way to get rid of the taste, I believe that's still better than nothing. Alternatively could use a tube, but a bag is much more accessible. Please do let me know if that's an already tried method and if it's reliable enough.

I'm thinking it's pretty hard to cloak a salt taste.

Best that can be done in gargle with salt water a few times a week. Become desensitized to it. That's my thoughts

I've been trying hard to forget your post. If I'm not mistaken, you said it's something like bleach corrosive, et cetera. Jesus. Stuff of nightmares.

I'm very "wimpy", I'm sure most people can succeed in ingesting SN especially if they have mouthwash / throat-numbing spray / a straw etc!

I was just thinking of drinking it normally, but if it's that bad, a straw might work. I don't really have a negative reaction to a salty taste though. I do wonder just how bad it tastes.

Don't use a straw, people have failed using that method. The symptoms will begin to settle in fast.

I don't plan to. I've never had issues with a salty taste, so using other methods to get it down are just secondary considerations.

I've been wondering about this and how much is truth and how much is exaggeration to dissuade people from doing it.

Reason being... I had a colonoscopy a couple of years ago and everyone said the stuff you had to take was awful and might make you nauseous. It wasn't super tasty, but it was fine... barely noticeable since you drink it quickly. That was a salty thing too. So I'm just wondering, is SN as bad as people say or not or does it really matter how your tongue is working.

Unrelated, but I don't know if I had an asymptomatic COVID at some point a couple of years ago OR an adverse reaction to a mouthwash I was using at the time (read about it online) but a lot of things have tasted different in ways I can't always explain the last couple of years.
