I have heard in some eastern Europe / middle-east countries it is pretty easy to get, and it would definitely be one of the fastest and (if properly done, of course) painless methods so far. If it was in Europe I would consider driving through secondary roads to avoid customs. In the middle-east though, a flight with a no return ticket would be advisable, perhaps a little diplomatic turmoil would follow afterwards, but not for the interested person after all.
