I didn't know Cuba, Columbia and Ecuador had already done so as mentioned in the article. I favor decriminiazation (as they've done) over overt legalization as I think legalization opens doors to abuse of power. Thanks for sharing!

I'm not sure how or why you interpret it that way. I said I support decriminiazation. That means no legal actions against facilitators and vendors for safe, standardized and painless medicines.
I don't support overt legalization in the current world economic and political climate as it makes it easy for governments and corporations to exploit the public. In a more enlightened society, sure but right now I think letting decriminiazation "soak" allows time for the public to adjust and the stigma to be reduced in a steady manner.
