This user reportedly took their own life. The comments and retweets are absolutely filthy and disgusting. Can't say unexpected really, just shows what people really are. Sad to say it reflects today's world very well.

Link to a quote tweet. Check the quote and the comments, I don't think I have to say much more. Such disappointment in people.

What makes me sadder, but doesnt surprise me in the slightest, is that the people who supposedly care about her do so because she is (was) attractive.

If it were an ugly woman or a man who had caught the bus, nobody couldn't have cared less.

RIP though.

This is one of the major reasons I advocate for people on this or other sites who are considering CTB to not share identifying information about themselves. Unfortunately, misfortune can be a fetish, and it does have its clientele. There are active necrophilia forums, forums for those who objectify those with eating disorders—hell, videos of sexual assaults are easily accessible on the clear web. Autonomy is not a guarantee.

I saw a very similar thing happen with a video of a girl who attempted suicide. People wouldn't shut the fuck up about 1. her being alt (I think jirai kei) and 2. her having hentai posters in her room (and trying to assert a moral high ground over her choice of decorum.) SOMEONE JUST TRIED TO KILL THEMSELVES. People are so fucking weird towards alt girls in particular. It's as if these people take these girls' appearances as some kind of sexual invitation to say all sorts of depraved and vile crap. It genuinely makes my stomach turn.

One of the things I hate most about internet culture is how the person who can callously say the most inhumane, disgusting things is seen as the "based and keyed" "winner" on top, and how people who react to this depravity with any semblance of disgust or empathy towards the target is a "seething cuck" in a submissive/losing position. It's a breeding ground for sociopathic behavior. Shit like this is the end point of that garbage "philosophy." Pure spiritual illness. I wish everyone like this a good kick in the teeth.

its like posts where ppl are vauging suicide, those empty polls and sometimes someone may encourage them or, people say "hah, ur gonna kys over THAT? lmao...". its like people on there arent even human anymore.

That just isn't how the Internet works. There have been incredibly vile comments, but I would imagine if your average person were to hear that if anyone of any gender regardless of any level of attractiveness committed suicide, they would express sympathy. What I see first and foremost when I look at this is a person. That person might've been female and conventionally attractive, but all of that is an afterthought in comparison to her suicide and the awful things people have said about her. I have no care for, nor any reason to care for how she appears. The Internet is oversaturated with pictures of conventionally attractive women.

It isn't that people "don't care" when people who aren't conventionally attractive women commit suicide, they just don't learn about it because of the fact that thousands of people commit suicide everyday, and because they are passively consuming new content suggested by an algorithm, or in this case, hearing about the case through someone else's word. They aren't picking and choosing which suicides to hear about. And sometimes there just isn't anything to say besides "rest in peace." People care enough to speak out about this woman and are commenting on the situation in part because of the unjust and cruel treatment she's receiving after her suicide. Just trying to offer a fresh perspective and maybe help.

He's not saying anything wrong. The anime avatar is cringe tho. Typical pedo/agp vibe
>hates women
>goons to caricature of women (anime child)
>uses the thing they goon to as dp
Truly all these people's worst crime is being fucking boring. Including the one who died if I'm being honest, but either way, poor girl.

Social media brings up the true colours of humanity, thanks to the anonymity and belief they are safe from consequence. Sick, twisted apes everywhere.

the worst thing about the internet era is the ability to be anon and say absolutely anything you want. that leads to the most vile comments ever because there is no accountability. i always just looked at the internet as some great font of information. others took it as a license to be the biggest assholes ever. i hate this place.

What I think is worse is that the freedom to say something shitty is conflated with acceptability and that shitty thing being "no big deal" or "just a harmless joke that shouldn't be challenged for what it is." This conflation has created a lot of deeply unsociable, unlikable, obnoxious and pretty terrible people. For some reason, people can often hold these two simultaneous thoughts for gore, weird porn and other weird subcultures, that "this sucks and deserves to be looked down upon, but it deserves the right to exist." But when it comes to just being a flat-out sociopathic asshole on the Internet, suddenly it both deserves the right to exist and the right to be upheld as an ideal for how the Internet ought to operate and what netizens ought to expect and see as normal behavior.

The right to say something online should always still be there, I believe. If we take that away, we just get liars, and we risk being censored and our rights taken away as well. I feel like it's better to know than not know. But it really feels to me that people are incredibly callous and bloodthirsty, and would morally justify anything they feel like doing so long as it's justified by existing law.

A similar thing happened 2 weeks ago when a woman was suicidal on a bridge for 9 hours in my area. Someone posted a video online and people made vile comments like "what a waste of time. Just jump already."

I felt really bad for her. It's her life and it's her choice. I don't like when people encourage someone else to take their own life. I think it's disgusting, but luckily she probably didn't see it. Her family or friends could have seen it though.

I hate the anonymity of the Internet. The guy who posted this actually had a photo of himself on the account. People went after him and he deleted it, but the anonymous accounts left their vile comments up online.

She was wearing a shirt with the Totenkopf symbol. Why would you sympathize with a nazi?

On x or reddit you get people saying things to purposely enflame. But this thread has some questionable comments. Odd.

The problem isn't x. If it was, women would be saying things that are just as vile. I'm surprised no one's named the actual problem: men.
